"I couldn’t," Shen Mianmian said with a faint smile, "Grandfather, I’m not that magnanimous. Besides, matters of the heart can’t be conceded. He’s not an object to be passed around at will; doing so would be disrespectful to him. In all the years I wasn’t around, he never fell for Miss Cheng. So, it’s not as if he’s bound to like Miss Cheng just because I’m out of the picture."
Shen Mianmian wasn’t the kind of person to take blame needlessly. Big Brother He hadn’t liked Cheng Xining and never dated her, so she couldn’t be considered as someone who had stolen Cheng Xining’s love.
"Your thinking is very clear, and that’s the right way to look at it," Old Master He said nodding in approval. "All right, you can leave us here since you have someone to meet. Go back and change into a pretty dress for your appointment!"
He specifically reminded her to change into a new outfit.
Shen Mianmian was amused by his words; though the old man was of age, his ideas were very modern.
However, when meeting a love rival, one does indeed need to dress more beautifully.
