Just trying to film and yet I end up getting entangled with Cheng Xining, what rotten luck.
"What’s bringing bad luck?" Shen Mianmian, who just reached the door with two bowls of noodles, heard Yang Xiaoxi’s voice and couldn’t help but ask curiously.
Seeing this, Cheng Feiyang quickly took the bowls from her and placed them on the table.
"Mianmian, she just said, the drama that we’re going to shoot was first opted by Lu Nian to Cheng Xining. Cheng Xining didn’t want to shoot it, so they turned to us instead," Yang Xiaoxi said, huffing with irritation.
Isn’t this the same as telling them that they were only given the things Cheng Xining didn’t want?

Shen Mianmian was somewhat surprised by this coincidence, but such things were not uncommon in the entertainment industry, so she didn’t think much of it.

Shen Mianmian went back to the kitchen to get another bowl of noodles and after the three of them had eaten, Cheng Feiyang went home. Shen Mianmian brought Yang Xiaoxi water for washing up, telling her to rest well.
"Don’t twist around if you can help it; if you fall again, you won’t be able to go to school. If the filming starts early next year, don’t have a relapse of your old injuries."
"My foot is not a big issue, no bones are hurt, a night’s sleep will fix it. I’ll rest tomorrow, and it won’t affect going to school the day after, you don’t believe me? I’ll walk around for you to see."
Yang Xiaoxi said this and tried to get out of bed, but Shen Mianmian stopped her.
"Miss Yang, please don’t exert yourself, just lie down."
Yang Xiaoxi’s foot really hurt, so she stopped fussing and obediently lay in bed. Shen Mianmian went out and closed the door for her.
The snow continued to fall outside. After Shen Mianmian washed up, she locked the door to her room and crawled into bed. She woke up in the middle of the night to find her blanket suddenly cold and as she half-consciously opened her eyes, she heard He Nan’s deep voice.
"He Nan?" Shen Mianmian immediately woke up and instinctively snuggled into his embrace, but he stepped back slightly, "I’m cold, it will chill you."
Shen Mianmian hugged him close. He had been quite busy lately, often traveling, but thankfully, he never went far and would return in a few days.
