Zhuoyue’s face turned dark as he glared at Jiang Xue and said, "Jiang Xue, don’t push it too far."
He understood what Jiang Xue meant, which was nothing more than wanting him to climb back over the wall. But now wasn’t the same as before. He had been beaten badly by Jiang Xue, and his whole body hurt. Climbing over the wall was out of the question, even walking was painful.
"Shall we find someone to judge and see who’s being excessive?"
"You?" Zhuoyue was infuriated. But knowing he was in the wrong, he could only endure the pain and walk towards the spot where he’d previously climbed over the wall.
Reaching the place and looking at the high wall, feeling the pain in his body, Zhuoyue hesitated.
"What are you standing there for, not leaving?" Jiang Xue urged impatiently as she saw Zhuoyue standing still at the foot of the wall without any movement.
If Zhuoyue didn’t leave soon, she was worried her father-in-law and mother-in-law would return. What if they saw Zhuoyue there and misunderstood the situation?
Hence, Zhuoyue needed to leave as soon as possible.
However, fearing something, there it came. Just as Zhuoyue was dawdling and preparing to climb the wall, the door in the courtyard creaked, and Bai Yuhua walked in.
Hearing the noise and seeing Bai Yuhua, Zhuoyue’s face changed, his climbing action halted, and he fell from the wall.
With a scream, it perfectly reached Bai Yuhua’s ears. She thought something had happened to Jiang Xue, and hurriedly ran towards Jiang Xue’s room.
Halfway there, she noticed something unusual. The sound wasn’t coming from Jiang Xue’s room but from the foot of the wall.
So she turned her head and saw Zhuoyue lying at the foot of the wall.
Like Jiang Xue, the first thought that flashed through Bai Yuhua’s mind was that a thief had broken into the house. So she picked up a stick from the ground and tightly grasped it, inching closer to Zhuoyue on the ground.
When she got in front of Zhuoyue, she suddenly raised the stick high.
Zhuoyue happened to look up, and seeing the stick coming down towards him, he was scared out of his wits and shouted, "Aunt Mu, it’s me!"
Upon hearing the familiar voice, Bai Yuhua hesitated with the stick in her hand, stopping in mid-air.
"Zhuoyue, why is it you again!" Bai Yuhua widened her eyes, looking at Zhuoyue. Just yesterday, she warned him not to come to the Mu Family again.
Yet today, he actually came again, and even sneaked in by climbing the wall.
Damn it, what exactly was he trying to do?
Thinking of this, Bai Yuhua was instantly furious. She jabbed the stick into the ground and asked, "Zhuoyue, what are you doing at my house? You’re not here to bully Xue’er again, are you?"
"Aunt Mu, Aunt Mu, I didn’t bully Jiang Xue." Upon hearing this, Zhuoyue immediately waved his hand and said, "Really, I really didn’t bully her."
"Just because you say you didn’t bully her, doesn’t mean you didn’t." Bai Yuhua didn’t believe Zhuoyue at all and glared at him.
"Really, Aunt Mu. If you don’t believe me, look!" As Zhuoyue spoke, he was about to lift his shirt. Bai Yuhua saw his movements, and her face turned pale as she said, "Zhuoyue, what are you doing, are you acting indecently?"
"Aunt Mu, I..." Seeing Bai Yuhua jump far away, Zhuoyue felt like crying. When had he acted indecently? He just wanted Bai Yuhua to see the injuries Jiang Xue had given him.
Who knew how Jiang Xue hit him, not a single exposed area was hit. The pain was all in places not visible.
