First spears, then a net—it seemed even if one dodged the arrow feathers, the ground net could not be avoided, and when it closed around her, the spears were positioned to pierce through a person again.

"What’s wrong?" asked the shorter one, puzzled.
"Step back a bit," said the taller one, retreating a few yards before also reaching for a dagger and throwing it upwards like a dart.
The dagger swiftly sliced through the hanging vines, and as the vines lost their restraint, they immediately spread out.
Surprisingly, upon spreading, the spears seemed to take on a life of their own, flying toward them.
