Bai Sasa said nothing at all, which made them feel even more uncertain.

Bai Junjun and Li Wenli both looked puzzled.
Bai Sasa nodded: "I saw an abandoned village up ahead, with dark figures hopping around in it. They look exactly like living dead. If we run now while they haven’t noticed us, we might still have time!"

She tried to comfort them: "Don’t worry, there really are no ghosts in this world. At most, the living dead are corpses that have gone wild due to some sort of bacterial mutation. We just need to eliminate them," she said.
Bai Junjun spoke nonchalantly, but Bai Sasa felt like she was about to suffocate.
Yet Bai Junjun continued, as if she hadn’t finished expressing herself: "And we must take out these living dead. Otherwise, if we allow them to keep reproducing, that would be terrible."
In ancient times, there were no heavy weapons. If the living dead were to spread the virus, it would be truly tragic once it escalated into an uncontainable sea of zombies.
Speaking of which, although zombies differ from ghosts, they share a common origin with zombies.
Strictly speaking, ghosts are more ethereal, thus they can only be countered by ethereal means, such as talisman paper, magic artifacts, and so forth, while zombies are corporeal. Besides ethereal means, to completely eliminate them, one would need to employ physical attacks, such as fire, chopping or cleaving with a peach wood sword, etc.
As for zombies in the Apocalypse, they are people mutated by a virus, and because of the virus, they become decayed, lose consciousness, and turn into beings that act purely on instinct.
Both zombies and living dead follow instinct, but the difference is that the former is a mutated corpse, while the latter is a mutated living person.
After mutating, they both attack living beings, consume blood and flesh, and can only be eliminated through physical attacks.
So when Bai Junjun and Li Wenli heard there were living dead up ahead, how could they be afraid?
After all, they’ve been fighting zombies for over twenty years in the Apocalypse.
Zombies and living dead are pretty much the same, right?
Watching the two of them become more determined the more she tried to dissuade them, Bai Sasa really didn’t know what to do.
