“Mom, don’t worry. I think dad’s resolve is much stronger now; he’s improved leaps and bounds compared to before. Besides, even if dad wanted to go back to the old ways, you wouldn’t allow it. I heard you speaking so firmly last time, saying that if he dared to secretly support his parents financially, you would divorce him. Why don’t you have that determination now?”
The older daughter teased her mother, and the little toddler in her arms naively asked Yang Mei.
“Grandma, what is divorce?”

The sound of laughter from outside permeated through the door, reaching the clear ears of the old lady and old man inside.
