“Really?!” Another aunt appears skeptical.
“What a question! Do you think I’d lie about something ? Never mind the single pearl, she even paid for my son’s tuition and miscellaneous fees! Otherwise, where would I get the money to take a flight!” There was a hint of bragging in her voice.
The other aunt seemed even more incredulous. Even though extravagant dowries were not expected anymore, having a woman going out of her way to pay for a man was unheard of.
It’s not like she can’t get married!

“You still don’t believe it?” the short-haired aunt continued, “She’s visiting our home next month, surely bringing a pile of gifts along. You should come and see for yourself.”
She wasn’t lying. Her son was indeed capable! She was filled with pride that he had a woman willingly offering herself to him.
“So this young girl is now your son’s girlfriend?”
The short-haired aunt answered proudly, “At first, my son wasn’t willing to accept her, but she was so persistent he felt compelled to agree.”
The other aunt expressed her admiration, “Your son really has quite the skills!”

That is equivalent to a month’s salary for an ordinary worker, quite a significant expense indeed.
“The young girl’s family must be wealthy?”

“And she still treats your son so well?”

The other aunt threw her an envious look.

Sometime later, the airport broadcast announced boarding.

Three seats were in a row on the plane, conveniently allowing Little Ni Yun to sit in the middle.
As the plane took off, the huge thrust created a discomforting sensation of ringing and pain in the ears. Ni Cuihua turned pale with fear.
Is the plane going to fall from the sky?
“Mom, don’t worry, this is just the imbalance of pressure inside and outside the middle ear, it’ll pass soon.” Ni Yang comforted Ni Cuihua, and as if on cue, the plane started to stabilize.

“Mom, look outside the window.”

“It’s so beautiful!” The scenery outside successfully distracted Ni Cuihua from her fear of the plane crashing.
Ni Yang took off Little Ni Yun’s shoes, allowing her to stand barefoot on the seat and look out the window.
Even though the view was magnificent, it could become monotonous after a while. Barely an hour later, the cabin was filled with light snores.
The flight to M Country took a total of twelve hours. When Ni Yang woke up, it was mealtime.
The airplane offered free lunch.
It wasn’t until 6:30 AM local time that they arrived at the Miami airport.
Xisuo Island was only forty kilometers away. But since they couldn’t book a hotel online, they would have to take a cab and find a hotel locally once they exited the airport.
Luckily, Ni Yang had visited Xisuo Island several times in her past life and wasn’t unfamiliar with it. Even though the Xisuo Island in this life was somewhat different from the one in her past, the general routes remained the same.
