Lady Shangguan shook her head.
From last night until now, no one from the Zhao Family has shown their face.

Ni Cuihua took the water bottle from Lady Shangguan’s hand, “Mom, I’ll go fetch water, you go in and eat.”

They all went into the ward together.

Shangguan Dehui sat on the sofa without saying a word.
Ni Yang set the thermos on the coffee table and scooped out a bowl of chicken soup for Shangguan Furong, “Auntie, drink soup.”

Zhao Zijun took the chicken soup, “Mom, let me feed you.”
“Alright,” Shangguan Furong nodded.
Zhao Zijun carefully fed Shangguan Furong spoonfuls of chicken soup.
The chicken soup contained Chinese medicine and tasted slightly bitter. As she drank, Shangguan Furong’s eyes grew red.

Shangguan Xu carried Little Ni Yun, while Ni Yang and Shangguan Xi, together with Zhao Zijun and Zhao Ziqing, left the room.
After the children left, the atmosphere in the ward became oppressive.
Shangguan Dehui spoke silently: “Your domineering, unreasonable behavior and extremism have not only harmed yourself, but also almost harmed the two kids! If it weren’t for Yangyang last night, had you jumped down with the two kids, do you know what the consequences would be?”
Lady Shangguan sighed.
Shangguan Furong lowered her head, tears falling from her eyes.
What Shangguan Dehui said was true. In this marriage, it wasn’t just Zhao Shen’s mistake; she also made mistakes.
It was fortunate that last night she did not jump down with the two children.
Otherwise, it would have been a grave mistake.
“Brother, I realize my mistake, I truly do,” Shangguan Furong closed her eyes, “Yangyang was right, a woman doesn’t necessarily need to spend her lifetime with a man. So, I have decided to divorce Zhao Shen. I don’t want anything else, except the two children.”

Shangguan Dehui sighed, “It’s good if you can think clearly.”
In a while, Ni Cuihua walked in with the water bottle.
The children also came in from outside.

Shangguan Furong smiled, “Mom can’t go back.”
She could never go back.
“Why?” Zhao Zijun asked.
