Rebirth of the Movie Queen: Mrs. Sinclair, Please Hug Me! Chapter 16

Right now, relying on her own strength is not enough. Ariana Lynch already has the support of the Lockwood Family, so she must leverage the power of the Lowell Family to gradually expose her true colors.

Savannah Lowell had previously dedicated all her energy to Elias Sinclair and her work, neglecting Mr. and Mrs. Lowell quite a bit. She must make up for all of this.

When they were eating earlier, it seemed like Mr. and Mrs. Lowell’s attitude was not very stern; they were still quite good to their daughter. As long as she shows more care for her parents in the future, it will be fine.

Cameron Grant held the plate in mid-air, doubting his ears. It took him a moment to react, "Does he know?"

Receiving no response, Cameron looked at Quinn Lockwood and noticed her eyes were slightly red as she stared blankly, "Are you okay?"

Could it be because he mentioned Elias Sinclair again, which made her feel upset? It’s conceivable that she wasn’t happy with the Sinclair Family, but knowing Savannah Lowell’s usual style, he thought it was nothing unusual.

This was the path she chose, and everyone knows Elias Sinclair certainly doesn’t like her. She has cried many times, so Cameron Grant is accustomed to it.

"Ah, what did you just say?"

Quinn Lockwood gradually returned to her senses, immediately pushing back the tears in her eyes. She might have been exposed; if they notice, she would truly have nothing left.

"I said, does Elias know you aren’t going back?" Cameron Grant reminded her once again.

Elias Sinclair! Quinn Lockwood’s eyes widened, realizing she was too consumed by revenge to remember this person.

After speaking, Quinn Lockwood left the kitchen, joining Mr. and Mrs. Lowell in the living room to watch TV.

Though the elderly couple usually don’t like watching TV, they were overjoyed that their daughter was willing to return. Whether it’s watching TV or anything else, as long as Savannah Lowell is willing to stay calmly, they’d agree to anything.

Cameron Grant informed the couple that Savannah Lowell would stay the night, making them even more ecstatic. The source of thɪs content is novel•fire.net

That evening, Quinn Lockwood returned to her room, finally able to let down her guard. She didn’t bother to take off her slippers, directly collapsing onto the bed, closing her eyes comfortably, planning to rest for a while.

This day was exhausting, truly echoing Elias Sinclair’s old saying—she was acting. No, her acting was different from what he spoke of. It was well-intentioned, not only for herself but also for Savannah Lowell.

Darn, thinking of Elias Sinclair made Quinn Lockwood realize she hadn’t informed him she wouldn’t return tonight. To prevent that egotist from thinking she’s acting, she should at least say something.

"Savannah, I don’t have time for you now."

Finally connected, what came through was Elias Sinclair’s voice full of disdain; she knew he worked at this time daily—was it deliberate?

Quinn Lockwood endured his accusations, biting back her anger. Her phone rang for a full minute before being answered, showing how unwilling he was to pick up.

"Say what you need to quickly."

Actually, without asking, he knows she’s at the Lowell Family, staying out late to make him pick her up.

Despite Elias Sinclair detesting it, to avoid disturbing his grandfather, he’d still be forced to go.

"I’m staying with my parents tonight, not going back."

Quinn Lockwood didn’t want to waste words with him. He wouldn’t believe her anyway—it’s better to say less to avoid mistakes.

Huh, here we go again. Elias Sinclair directly hung up, casually tapping on the keyboard, continuing to work. He knew she wouldn’t return easily, not stopping unless she threw a tantrum.

A person who never goes home suddenly mentions staying with her parents—ridiculous.

He confidently anticipated that within ten seconds, she’d call again, crying and begging him to pick her up, or she’d inform his grandfather; he knew her too well.

Sure enough, after a moment, a call came in. However, it wasn’t as Elias Sinclair expected. The caller ID wasn’t Savannah Lowell, but Cameron Grant.

Cameron Grant confirmed to him that Savannah Lowell wouldn’t be coming home tonight.

After hanging up, Elias Sinclair froze, puzzled. If she truly wasn’t returning, he stood at the window, gazing outside, lost in thought.

Reflecting on Quinn Lockwood’s recent actions, she indeed seemed different. Previously, she wouldn’t directly say she didn’t like someone, wouldn’t worry about Cameron Grant’s health, let alone return home to stay with her parents; even her attitude towards the servants had shifted from her previous arbitrary scolding.

Even Cameron Grant mentioned before that she seemed unusual—could she truly have changed?

Looking at the bustling traffic and vibrant lights outside, Elias Sinclair’s gaze grew complex; this woman seemed hard to understand.

Since when did she start pretending while facing his sarcasm, unmoved by it? Why would she look so aggrieved when he exposed her?

No, Elias Sinclair’s gaze cleared. How could a person change so quickly within a few days? He didn’t believe Savannah Lowell could transform so fast, especially considering his understanding of her—she wouldn’t even listen to good advice from others, let alone suddenly gain insight on her own.

She surely is still playing hard-to-get games.

Quinn Lockwood unhappily pouted, he hung up her call. Whether he picked up or not, at least respond!

Forget it, however he chooses to think; she already gave him a heads-up.

Some people love using their own thoughts to speculate about others. In this world, there are those who like you and those who don’t; as long as a person’s conscience is clear, there’s no need to care so much, or else life would be exhausting.

Seeing it was still early, Quinn Lockwood thought she could chat with Mr. and Mrs. Lowell again, returning to the living room.

The elderly couple looked at their daughter’s unhappy face, feeling sympathetic, "Savannah, if you’re tired, rest early."

"Ah, I’m not tired. I just want to spend more time with you, haha."

Hearing their concern, Quinn Lockwood’s gloom vanished, her expression brightening instantly. She sat beside the elderly couple, casually linking arms with Mrs. Lowell.

Mrs. Lowell was taken aback by her sudden action. As their daughter grew up with her own ideas, she nearly forgot the last time they were .

Friends often participated in events with their daughters, strolling hand in hand, and Mrs. Lowell couldn’t help but feel envious. But every time, Savannah Lowell had various reasons to refuse, saying she couldn’t let her identity be known, fearing exposure by the media.

Savannah Lowell had been the treasure held in Mr. and Mrs. Lowell’s hands since childhood, and they naturally didn’t want her to bear public pressure. Coming back to manage the company with Cameron would’ve been great, but the child claimed she enjoyed acting, leaving them with no choice—forcing her to do what she dislikes wasn’t an option.

Occasionally seeing attack comments online, or media reports with dark tidbits, Mrs. Lowell couldn’t help but secretly wipe her tears, urging Mr. Lowell to solve the issues.
