Bai Qinghao shifted his heated but distant gaze onto her.
Right now, her entire face was covered in scabs. Her skin had yet to properly peel.
It was similar to the type of scabs that formed on open surface wounds. The dried scabs were dark brown in colour. They were as disgusting as one’s imagination would make them out to be.
Even she struggled to look in the mirror with her current appearance.
However, once these scabs healed, she would recover her original, beautiful appearance.
His gaze was far too difficult to read. She struggled to understand his emotions but sensed that he did not disdain her poor appearance.
This discovery filled her with joy.
Seeing that he did not receive the cup, she lifted it and specially kissed the rim of it with a loud smack. She then brought it close to him.
Bai Qinghao watched her in confusion. “What are you up to?”
“You’re covered in a serious stench of sweat…” She did not answer his question.
She then pinched a short, thick hair that had landed on his clothes. “You must have just shaved. You didn’t even shower…”
Bai Qinghao’s expression turned gradually darker. The light in his eyes also immediately faded. He had rushed back from the jungle overnight just to see her. There wasn’t any time for a shower before he had to board the helicopter.
As the clothes he had been wearing prior were too dirty, he had changed into a clean set of clothes and shaved on the helicopter. He then headed straight for her school.

The pilot in the front row was wearing headphones. He did not hear their conversation.

There were others in the helicopter with them. Her expression turned shy.
From the front row, Liu Li watched in shock as his boss delivered a punishment to Fang Xinxin.
