Fang Xinxin turned back to glance at Zhao Cheng. “…May I know what you are referring to?”
“Human meat.” Zhao Cheng responded expressionlessly. “If we remove some fresh meat from a living human, it will taste better. However, if Miss Fang has reservations about that, the chef can still prepare some good dishes from the meat of a dead human.”
Fang Xinxin felt a little weak. “Are you joking?”
“This subordinate never jokes.”
“You’ve had human meat before?”
“This question does not fall under Young Master’s orders to take care of you. This subordinate has the right to not answer.” Zhao Cheng remained expressionless.
“I wish to eat your young master.” She gave him the correct answer.
“My deepest apologies. Young Master is respected as a God. Even if he is willing to offer you his flesh, this subordinate will do his utmost to prevent it.”
“Old Butler, you’re lagging behind times.” Fang Xinxin patted him on the shoulder and left the main bedroom.
Zhao Cheng furrowed his brows. He was only thirty years old. The word ‘old’ was used inappropriately here.
Fang Xinxin descended the staircase to head to the living room on the first floor. She found that Bai Qinghao had already changed into a black suit. He was wiping his wet hair with a white towel.
A maid held a tray and stood on the side. When Bai Qinghao saw Fang Xinxin, he placed the towel on the tray.
Fang Xinxin thought regretfully as to why he changed his attire so quickly? She had yet to get a good look of his healthy, outstanding figure.
However, even in his suit, he made for an impressive sight. His complexion was cold and graceful. Truly, he was utterly perfect from every angle!
“You’re awake? Come and have breakfast.” Bai Qinghao gestured for her to come forward.
Fang Xinxin approached him and saw that the luxurious dining table was lined with Wintermelon Glutinous Rice Soup, Steamed Egg Custard, Crystal Dumplings… along with ten other dishes.
She thought that there was so much food. Bai Qinghao sure could eat!
“I know you’re trying to lose weight. I instructed the kitchen to prepare a lighter breakfast.”
“There’s so much food here. Why did you still ask Butler Zhao to ask me about what I would like to have?”
Bai Qinghao’s gaze turned doting. “I was worried that these wouldn’t suit your tastes. If you don’t like any of it, I’ll ask the kitchen to prepare something else.”
“I like these, I like all of them!” She scooped herself a bowl of Shark Fin Ginseng Congee and began eating mouthfuls of it. “Why aren’t you eating?”
“I already ate.” His expression was cold but his tone was warm.
She stiffened. “Dare I ask if this was all prepared for me?”
He nodded.
“…”
She finished a bowl of congee and stood up. When she saw he was about to speak, she quickly interjected. “Don’t persuade me to eat more. I’m in the midst of losing weight. I’ll be upset at whoever tries to persuade me otherwise.”
He furrowed his brows and instructed helplessly with some heartache. “Pay attention to your nutrition intake. Don’t harm your body.”
“I got it.”
Fang Xinxin turned to run upstairs. Bai Qinghao watched her charming back view as she left.
Butler Zhao then approached him and respectfully said, “Young Master, Miss Fang said she wishes to have human meat.”
On a rare occasion, Bai Qinghao’s distant, cold gaze appeared slightly confused. “Her taste is that unique?”
“Yes.” Zhao Cheng furrowed his brows. “What’s outrageous is that she wishes to eat you.”
