"They say, ’A married daughter is like water splashed out of the house.’ Little sister, you aren’t even married yet, and you’re already pointing your elbows out," Xu Nian’an said as he re-entered the hospital room, glaring fiercely at Pei Yicheng.
Xu Nianhua’s gaze fell on Xu Nian’an’s belly and said, "Big brother just had some of the porridge I made."
"Big brother, instead of acting coquettish here like a three-year-old child, you might as well hurry to the factory and help. There are definitely a lot of people coming to buy chili sauce today, and the delivery is surely going to be hectic," Xu Nianhua reminded him.

"Time to take your temperature, the nurse will be back to collect it soon," Pei Yicheng changed the subject, fearing he might irritate Nianhua further if they continued.
Xu Nianhua handed him the thermometer.
As Pei Yicheng reached out, he intentionally hissed sharply, as if in pain.
Xu Nianhua, still upset, immediately asked with concern, "What’s wrong? Did it pull on your wound? You’re already injured; you should be resting quietly!"
Xu Nianhua said this as she placed the thermometer under his armpit.
Ten minutes later, when the nurse came to collect the thermometer, Xu Nianhua took the opportunity to hide in the restroom, wanting to avoid meeting the nurse because it would be too awkward otherwise.
