Xu Nianhua took advantage of the early hour and deliberately detoured to Pei Yicheng’s temporary office at the factory; she brought half a watermelon planning to share it with Pei Yicheng.
Pei Yicheng had just finalized the contract details with Boss Song. When he saw Xu Nianhua arriving, his eyes instantly lit up, and he quickly stood up, pulling her to a seat to rest, handed her some water, and asked, "Why did you come to the city today?"
"What, don’t want to see me?" Xu Nianhua glanced at him and assessed his simple office, truly too simple, not even a fan, making it feel a bit stuffy inside.
Pei Yicheng, holding a file, lightly fanned her, his gentle gaze fixed on her, saying, "How could I not want to see you? I can’t get enough of seeing you every day. I wish I could open my eyes in the morning and see you."
His gaze was extremely attentive.
"Ah, can you not look at me like that?" Xu Nianhua extended her hand to block his eyes, her tone carrying a tenderness that even she noticed.
Her hands were well-cared for, applying hand cream every night, coupled with not doing any rough work, making them remarkably delicate and slender, emitting a faint fragrance blocking his eyes.
"You can’t be so stingy." Pei Yicheng looked at the delicate hand right in front of him, sensing through it that she was surely blushing.
Xu Nianhua defiantly moved her hand up and down, revealing his eyes, then quickly closed them again, saying, "You’re the stingy one."
"Then why won’t you let me see?" Pei Yicheng held her hand, noticing the blush on her cheeks making her fair face even prettier.
"Yicheng, eat watermelon."
Xu Nianhua switched topics, feeling a bit awkward to mention that his gaze was too intense, making her feel like she was the only person in his eyes.

Pei Yicheng looked down at the bright red watermelon, raised an eyebrow, and said, "Let me try."
He bent down and took a big bite; the sweet watermelon was particularly refreshing. He took one from the side, handed it to her mouth, and said, "You eat too."
Xu Nianhua opened her mouth and took a bite. After eating several bites, she realized their actions seemed somewhat redundant!
She fed Pei Yicheng, while the one in Pei Yicheng’s hand was feeding her!

Pei Yicheng ate the watermelon in large bites, feeling satisfied, saying, "Really sweet."

Pei Yicheng placed his hand on her forehead and said, "If you sell me off, where would you find such a good husband?"

Xu Nianhua hadn’t finished her sentence before her lips were sealed shut, and all the words she wanted to say were swallowed, leaving no chance to speak.
