Kuang Yun Xian also knew about those matters of the Meng Family. After the shock had subsided, it took him a great deal of effort to calm down. He glanced at Chiang Xiao and acted very gentlemanly by not asking further.

Meng Xinian reached out to pinch her face, but Chiang Xiao jumped back to avoid it, then made a face at him, pulling a goofy expression.
"Brother Kuang, look, he wants to bully me right now!"
Meng Xinian could not help but laugh. Girl, whose family are you from, and who are you close to?
Could that even be considered bullying?
Kuang Yun Xian just watched them with a good-natured smile.
It was rare to see this side of Meng Xinian; usually, he was very cold with not a hint of a smile. It seemed the little girl named Chiang Xiao had indeed changed him quite a bit.
"Is Chiang Xiao really your fiancée?"
Meng Xinian nodded: "Of course it’s true."
"Does your family know?" Kuang Yun Xian found the opportunity to ask Meng Xinian when Chiang Xiao went back to her own room to use the bathroom.

"Didn’t you always resist Old Meng mentioning this arranged engagement? Why have you accepted it now?"
"Isn’t it because those people pushed me too hard?" Meng Xinian said with disgust and a touch of impatience and coldness towards his family. "I wasn’t actively looking for her, but it just so happened that I met the person who saved Old Meng years ago, and just so happened to reach this point. I’m just going with the flow."
Kuang Yun Xian frowned slightly, sighed and said, "But you shouldn’t be so rash, marriage is a lifelong matter. What if you meet a girl you really like in the future?"
"That won’t happen." The image of Chiang Xiao’s bright face surfaced in Meng Xinian’s mind, and he instinctively felt defensive. He already had a fiancée, why would he like another girl?
