Chiang Xiao, although she had jumped away extremely quickly, still couldn’t completely avoid it due to the suddenness and her pants got splashed.

The man’s face immediately struggled to keep from laughing, "Girl, you’re quite funny. It’s just the back door of a restaurant, yet you’re calling it a ’restricted area’. Okay okay okay, it’s my fault, come on in. My daughter is about your age, I’ll get her to give you a change of clothes."
"There’s no need to change clothes. I just wanted to ask if your restaurant needs any game?"
"Game?" The man’s eyes lit up. Game was rare in the county. Their restaurant’s business seemed good, but what they actually sold were all common dishes, and for many years, there hadn’t been any new dishes. He had been pondering this issue every year, but it was only this year that times had started to improve, and ingredients were still lacking. Even if he wanted to create new dishes, he needed ingredients.
Not to mention himself, he believed many of his peers felt the same way.
"Girl, do you have some at home?"
"Yeah, my uncle’s family are hunters. They caught quite a bit recently, but we can’t sell all of it where we’re from, so I thought I’d come to the county to ask around."
"We have wild rabbits, pheasants, partridges and the like."
"About a dozen or twenty of each."
"How will you sell them? Where are your uncle and the rest?" the man looked behind her, but didn’t see anyone.
Chiang Xiao said calmly, "They didn’t come, just me."
The man’s eyes widened, "Girl, are you kidding me? Can you handle this alone?"
Chiang Xiao said, "Of course I can’t do it alone, but I just came first to ask. If you want them, I can have my uncle and the rest transport the goods."
"That’s fine! Bring them over for me to see. If they’re all alive, I’ll take them all!"
Chiang Xiao frowned. Did they really all need to be alive?
Of course she had live game; she had caught so many before she came. But what about all those that were already butchered and de-feathered in her Space? Were they going to be unsellable?
Anyway, even if she could only sell the live ones, that was okay.
Chiang Xiao immediately said, "Then tomorrow around noon, we’ll transport the goods here!"
When Chiang Xiao left wearing her dripping wet pants, she wasn’t sure if this counted as bad luck or fortune. She had been drenched, but she had secured a deal for her business.
She had originally planned to find a small restaurant for a meal, but now soaked through, she simply bought some pastries to take back with her.
The rooms in the guesthouse were actually really well decorated and clean. If guesthouses of this era could be rated, this one would at least be four-star.
After showering, changing her clothes, and having something to eat, she locked herself in that storeroom and started to draw.
