Old Master Bai’s condition before was known to them; his Alzheimer’s disease had become quite severe. Anyway, he often couldn’t even recognize his own sons and grandsons, so someone had to be with him twenty-four hours a day.
The Old Master had loved his wife deeply throughout his life.
And Old Lady Bai was skilled at painting landscapes.
However, after falling ill, she wanted to paint but could no longer pick up a brush. Many of her paintings from those turbulent years didn’t survive either.
After Old Lady Bai passed away, Old Master Bai became obsessed with appreciating paintings. Even when he became somewhat confused, he never forgot to look at paintings.

However, he could understand what Old Master Bai was talking about, because on the day they unfolded the painting, they too had looked at it for a long time, almost reluctant to put it away.

"I said Master Chiang was amazing!" Xi Minghui slapped his thigh vigorously, his face flushed with excitement.
If Chiang Xiao were here, he would want to give her a hug.

"Yes, that’s her." Yu Hang asked, "Dad, did Old Master Bai say anything else?"
"He did, else why would I have come over? You guys come home with me this weekend for a meal."
Yu Hang and Xi Minghui immediately understood what this ’meal’ meant.
Old Master Bai was willing to intervene and mediate; they could sit down with the other party and have a proper talk.
