"I haven’t tasted a rich girl yet," the grinning thug said as he reached for Su Ziceng.
"Sister Mu said just to teach her a lesson. If her family starts asking questions, that would be trouble," the man holding Su Ziceng reminded.
"What’s the rush, tsk tsk, just look at this woman’s figure and posture, it makes one envious. Who knows, maybe after I succeed, she might even beg me to become her son-in-law," the man glanced behind him; it was a quiet alley with no passersby.
"Big brother, this isn’t right," the man looked at Su Ziceng, whose eyes were brimming with immense fear and resentment, as if she was about to turn into a vengeful ghost any second.
It was Deng Jiani, it was Deng Jiani. Su Ziceng couldn’t believe that woman was so malicious to her core. She watched the man groping her and felt a surge of hatred towards those damn hands.
"What’s this thing," the man felt a hard ring over her chest.
"Brother, we’re going to strike it rich today, this is a treasure." The man saw "Red Love," and looked at Su Ziceng again with a special beauty caused by her furious expression, he swallowed his spit.
He hurried to remove Su Ziceng’s necklace, his accomplice also gazed greedily at the ring, getting distracted.
"You damn bastards," a wine bottle smashed over the forehead of the man undoing the necklace, and Su Ziceng fiercely kicked the man covering her mouth, sending him crashing aside.
"Why is it you?" The man who just freed Su Ziceng exclaimed in surprise.
Her stockings were ripped, her face was dusty, eyes conveying endless hatred, and her tweed coat was slashed with a big cut; Zhou Dagen barely recognized Su Ziceng.
"Thank you, Uncle Zhou." Su Ziceng tried to stand up, but her body faltered, and she collapsed to the ground. There was no pain on her face, instead, a stubborn look flared up.
There was a needle-like pain in her ankle, she did not know whether it was sprained while running away or twisted during the struggle.
"I should help you up," Zhou Dagen stood by and saw she couldn’t stand up but refused to give up, such a stubborn young lady, obviously on the verge of tears but still holding it in, as if not fearing making herself sick from it.
"Where were you going?" Zhou Dagen helped her up and saw her right cheek swollen with a tinge of blood, her hair was completely messed, mixed with sand and stones.
"Please take me to ’Admiration,’ the clothing store on the border between Sixth District and the fifth district," Su Ziceng didn’t want to go to the car dealership ; there was still a thug lying unconscious on the ground while the other had already run far away. If Boss Han and the others saw her , it might lead to deadly trouble.
She couldn’t return to school or home either; after thinking it over, Su Ziceng could only head to Sister Mu’s store first to clean up her wounds before going back.
Zhou Dagen had a craving for alcohol today, and since none was available at home, he took a long detour to buy some. After drinking a few sips, he saw two hooligans sneakily following a single woman into an alley and followed them to find out, only to realize that the woman was Su Ziceng.
"It’s eating away at me; I owe you for drinking your wine that day, and today I broke a bottle of wine because of you, now we’re even," Zhou Dagen noticed her gloomy face, not saying a word, and kept talking ceaselessly. Though his mouth was moving, his actions spoke otherwise as he lifted Su Ziceng up slightly, making her lean on him, clearly, the injury on her foot was very painful. Her eyes reddened along the way, yet she remained silent.
"Truly stubborn as a mule," Zhou Dagen muttered.
When they reached the door of "Admiration," Su Ziceng finally breathed a sigh of relief, and as she was about to enter, she bumped right into a familiar embrace.
"Don’t you watch where you’re going," the door of "Admiration" was already narrow, Zhou Dagen had just released his hand to let Su Ziceng enter first when she bumped into someone. Zhu Dagen had just finished cursing when he fell silent.
His cursing was drowned out by a low sobbing sound. Pello steadied the stumbling Su Ziceng, his gaze falling on her injured cheek.
Su Ziceng felt hurt by the collision, and also felt embarrassingly disheveled under his astonished gaze.
