"That is too bad; I hope he is released soon so her mental health can be treated," she said sincerely.
"He will be released if you speak up; you are the one who put him in jail." Jiang Lanfen, who had previously been calm, erupted in an instant at Xin Yan’s words.
The entire room turned to look at Xin Yan, who appeared perplexed.

He only swept his eyes around them, sensing something was wrong. He was not going to ask about it, though. He knew the CEOs were fierce competitors, so he just attributed the atmosphere to them blowing off steam.
"Alright, the other ministers and I have made our decision; please note that we thoroughly discussed this and our decision is fair; we only want you to accept our decision because we are also concerned about the welfare of the people in town," he attempted to explain to them before directly announcing the winner.
"Our decision was made by votes, and everything was fair," he said, emphasizing the word "fair." He was aware of how overbearing these CEOs could be.

The CEOs, including CEO Tian, could accept it. It was better that the land fell into the hands of Xin Yan than the Jiang family, who were liars.
Jiang Lanfen and Jiang Zhengzhou gritted their teeth in frustration. However, they could only reluctantly accept this decision. It was not their place to oppose the Ministers’ decision, or they risked being blacklisted.

She was stunned for a moment before regaining her composure. "Let us go," she gestured to Chen Wenling, who was overjoyed as she literally skipped to her car.
When they reached the car, she knocked on the window, which slowly rolled down.
Xin Yan nearly had a nosebleed while admiring the attractive man.
"If you are done staring, you can get into the car," his deep voice interrupted her reverie.
"Who claimed I was staring?" She muttered under her breath as soon as she climbed in.
"But your gaze said otherwise," he said, raising his brows and appearing to be in a good mood.
"Then it definitely means your eyes have problems," she complained. She had no intention of losing to him.
He could only shake his head helplessly. He could not bring himself to argue with her. It was not something he intended to do in their marriage.
"Drive," he said, noticing Chen Wenling was already in the car.
"How did the land bidding process go?" He inquired in an effort to spark a conversation with her.
"It went well, and of course I was awarded the land; after all, my proposal was fantastic," she said with a smirk.
’Boss, is not it best to maintain a low profile?’ Chen Wenling wondered in her mind as her lips twitched uncontrollably.
"Congratulations, Yanyan is the best," Li Qiang complimented her, boosting her confidence.
’President, it is not proper to praise her in this manner; it is best to be humble,’ Gao Yang was about to cry from the dogfood he was forced to eat. He was not alone; Chen Wenling felt the same way as well.
"That is correct, but I did not expect to meet Jiang Lanfen or, more surprisingly, her father," she said, frowning.
Li Qiang looked perplexed as he stared at her, ’She found out so quickly?’ He thought to himself.
"I am not sure why, but I believe the company they represented is the one Yuan Renshu founded," she informed Li Qiang.
Li Qiang frowned, as he had never considered this approach before.
"It appears you are correct; this appears to be a large and complicated issue; we need to gradually investigate and unravel it," Li Qiang said, the crease on his brow not easing for a moment.
"Of course, and I plan to do it myself," she commented as she looked at him, hoping he could understand her sentiments.
Li Qiang stared straight into her eyes but he didn’t bother to respond to her. It would cause a big argument if he did.
