"Why are you both in tears? I did not intend for you both to cry; please stop crying," Li Chuxi exclaimed.
Xin Yan smiled through the tears, beckoning her to come closer to her.
"Little Chuxi, mommy only feels bad for the little child, and thus made me cry; the little baby had to separate from her parents, and it hurt mommy a lot," Xin Yan explained to her, and she nodded, as if she understood.
"Do not cry, mommy; the story is something I happened to learn by chance while walking down the street; it was told by those people; what truth could it possibly have? Do not worry about it," Li Chuxi told her as she helped Xin Yan wipe the tears from her cheeks.
"I will not cry anymore; I just felt a little emotional; it felt like I was the lady, and I could feel the emotions," Li Chuxi’s eyes brightened upon hearing her words.
"How about you, dad? Did the story make you feel anything? Li Chuxi turned to look at him with enthusiasm. She would be overjoyed if he connected with her story.
"I," he paused, unsure what he was going to say.
What emotions did he experience while listening to her story? He felt emotions he had never experienced before in his life. His heart clenched in agony, as if he were the one who had been through it.
"It is fine; I will not ask anymore," Li Chuxi said, forcing a smile.
"Should we go to an amusement park? "I have not spent much time with little Chuxi because I have been so busy at work," Li Qiang suggested.
Li Chuxi’s eyes lit up as she nodded enthusiastically.
"Will mother accompany us?" Li Chuxi inquired, tilting her head toward Xin Yan.
"Hmm, she will be fine as long as she stays close to us and listens to everything we say," Li Qiang said to her, causing Xin Yan’s eyes to widen.
Will I be treated like a child?" She asked, rolling her eyes in irritation.
"This is the result of falling ill; you should have avoided it," he told her, and she scoffed with folded arms.
"Get dressed, Chuxi; we will be leaving for the amusement park soon," he told the little girl, who was more than excited to go.
She had never been to one, so she was overjoyed to have the opportunity to visit one.
The family of three decided to go to the amusement park in the afternoon.
Chuxi sat in her car, admiring the scenery.
They finally got to the amusement park, and they did not waste any time getting inside.
They were given tags indicating that they were VIPs. This happened because Li Qiang was the park’s sole investor.
"Which one would you like to ride first?" Xin Yan inquired as they walked through the VIP corridor.
Li Chuxi looked up and rested her finger on her chin. She appeared to be thinking deeply.
"I will ride the merry-go-round; I have heard a lot about it and would like to try it," she said, her face lighting up with excitement.
Xin Yan’s expression softened as she heard Li Chuxi’s request for a ride.
"Why do not we go on another ride, Chuxi? "The merry-go-round appears to be unsafe," she told Chuxi with a nervous smile.
"No, I had promised myself that if I ever go to an amusement park, I will ride the merry-go-round first." Chuxi did not notice Xin Yan’s expression, otherwise she would have seen her mother’s fear.
"Is that so?" Xin Yan drew out as they approached the merry-go-round.
Li Qiang cocked his head and chuckled as he looked at Xin Yan.
"Do you feel scared?" He suddenly asked, and she jumped in terror.
"What exactly do you mean?" She asked, her expression grim.
"I am only asking because you appear scared; if you are afraid, we will not ride it, is that not it Chuxi?" Li Qiang directed the question to Li Chuxi who reluctantly nodded.
When she looked up at her mother, she noticed her pale complexion. Perhaps it was not the best idea to ride it; after all, her mother was still recovering.
"Dad, maybe it is not right for me to ride it; mom is still recovering, and it will be bad for her health," Li Chuxi said with a sympathetic smile.
Xin Yan exhaled as she looked at her daughter.
"It is fine, Chuxi; I will wait for you here; you and your father can ride it; I should not ruin your happiness," Xin Yan winked at her, and she laughed.
"Did you hear that, dad?" We can ride; come on, I am very eager to ride it. Li Chuxi was agitated as she drew Li Qiang along with her.
Xin Yan, on the other hand, stood under the hot sun, pulling the hat on her head down slightly.
She smiled as she watched the father-daughter duo enjoy their time together.
Li Chuxi was screaming with excitement, while Li Qiang maintained a calm demeanor.
She chuckled while also feeling envious. She knew exactly what would have happened if she had gone on the ride. She would be vomiting profusely right now.
She was so caught up in watching them that she had no idea when she was approached from behind.
When Li Chuxi turned to face Xin Yan, she noticed the malicious intent.
Her eyes widened as she saw the person approach Xin Yan, who was still engrossed in watching them.
Li Chuxi noticed it, and Li Qiang would undoubtedly notice it as he attempted to signal to Xin Yan to be cautious.
"Xin Yan, watch out, leave," he yelled at her, but due to the distance, she did not hear what she said and looked at them confusedly.
She did not understand what they were trying to accomplish.
She stiffened as a result of the unexpected touch. She slowly turned to face the person who had touched her and frowned. It was a man, and she had no idea who he was.
Her expression became blank as she walked with the man. It was as if she had been hypnotized, and no one would question him as he led her out of the park.
"No, Dad, he is taking Mom away; why is Mom following him?" Li Chuxi cried as she shook Li Qiang, who was praying for the ride to come to an end soon.
