"I know what you want," he shook his head, and she looked up at him, surprised to know that he knew what she wanted.
"What do you think I want?" Xin Yan asked him as her face was covered with a blush. Once again, she was enlightened by how much he knew her.
"You want to adopt Meimei," he said with a matter of fact tone, and she nodded shyly.
"But I think we should wait a bit, let’s give her time, we are not sure if she will accept, let’s make her get used to Chu xi," Li Qiang suggested and she nodded.
Suddenly, her phone dinged and she brought it out. It was a text message from her brother.
She read it and the contents of the text message left her shocked.
"What is wrong?" Li Qiang asked as he sensed her silence.
"Nothing, I just found out a massive news, and I am very surprised," she said as she handed the phone to him.
He raised his eyebrows as he received the phone from her.
He read the contents, and he also had the same reaction as her.
"This is surprising," he could only give this comment.
"Hmm, I would never have expected that Cheng Luiying was never the Cheng’s family’s first daughter, but this makes it easier, I am happy the Cheng’s are not related to us in an anyway,
But my sister-in-law did deserve the treatment she got from that family, I only hope her real family takes care of her well," Xin Yan said with a worried gaze.

*Jiang’s Residence*
After Jiang Lanfen had gotten home the previous day, she had been on edge throughout. It only worsened when Yuan Renshu left late at night and only returned in the morning.
Currently, they were in their room and she decided to confront him.
"Where did you go last night?" She asked with folded arms as she watched the man undress.
He only cast a look towards her direction but did not say anything. He was not ready to talk to her.
Last night, he had visited Shi Bei and the woman had made him feel as though he were a man. She was caring, unlike the woman who was constantly disturbing him at the moment.
"I asked a question, and it is only right I get an answer, will you give me a reply, brother Renshu?" She finally softened her tone as she walked to him, while wrapping her hands around his waist intimately.
If it was the previous Yuan Renshu, he would have given to her. But sadly, he was a changed person.
"What do you want?" He questioned as he gently peeled her arms from his waist.
Jiang Lanfen was confused and at the same time disappointed, "I only wanted to know where you went to last night, yesterday makes it two days in a row, I was worried," she finally admitted.
"If you were worried, you would have given me a call or even sent me a text message," Yuan Renshu folded his arms as he looked at her.
He was not really expecting her to send a text message or call him. She had always been selfish and he just noticed her flaws.
Jiang Lanfen had an awkward look on her face. She could not remember to call or send him a text message when she was thinking of ways which Li Qiang could hurt her family.
She could not tell them, or they might just end her for provoking Li Qiang.
"You have nothing to say, you do not need to say anything, I know how you are, just don’t question me, I am already stressed out by what is going on in the company, do not make me more stressed out," he warned her and walked straight into the bathroom, leaving behind a dumbfounded Jiang Lanfen.
"Did he just say that to me?" She questioned aloud, asking no one in particular.
Her eyes suddenly landed on his phone and her eyes brightened. She had the suspicion that he was cheating on her and to satisfy her curiosity, she had to check his phone.
She picked up and pressed the password with eagerness, only that it was a wrong password.
She pressed it again, but this time, more slowly, hoping she did not make a mistake, but it was still the same, wrong password.
’Did he change his password?’ She mused as she looked at the phone.
The password she knew was her birthday, she could not believe that he could change it.
Her eyes darkened as she tried another set of numbers, Xin Yan’s birthday, but she was bound to be disappointed because it was still a wrong password.
"What?" She yelled as she wanted to throw the phone to the floor, but then she remembered, this was not her phone.
What would she say to him once he asked what had happened to his phone?
She could only keep the phone the same way he had placed it while she sat on the bed feeling fidgety
She could not dismiss the fact that she was insecure. Not only that, but she was unable to dismiss thoughts of him cheating on her.
She was unable to stand the suffocating feeling in the room; therefore she walked out. Likewise, she was also starving, so it was best to actually have something to eat.
While she was walking down the stairs, she passed by her dad’s study but stopped when she heard something.
"What do you mean by the accounts of the company are to be investigated? They will find out how we got the money to fund the company, do something, I do not want them to find out," she heard her father’s loud noise and her heart literally stopped beating.
She almost fell due to the impact the words of her father gave her. She did not need a soothsayer to tell her that Li Qiang had already begun his work against them.
If her dad finds out she was ten causes, he was going to end her, even if he considered her to be his precious daughter.
