"She will not respond to you, here, take this and read it," Tang Zheng handed the letter over to Tang Mo who read it quickly.
He looked towards his sister who had her head lowered in grief.
"What do you have to say about this? Li Qiang has never had any issues with our family but because of your stupidity, you decided to bring our family to an end," Tang Mo berated her, and she could only flinch in response.
"Dad, I will not speak to Li Qiang if that is what you want me to do," Tang Mo already an idea as to what his father wanted him to do.
"She is the cause, she should fix her mess herself, I know Li Qiang, he will not hurt the company, just your precious little daughter which you have pampered so much, do not ask me to speak on her behalf," Tang Mo was firm in his decision as he walked back to his room.
He was not ready to plead to his friend on behalf of a sister who never listened.
"Do you see that? Your brother is not willing to help you, and it is because of your character and attitude, it is not too late to mend your ways," Tang Zheng could only shake his head and walk away.
No matter what he did, it seemed he could not save his daughter. He could only hope Li Qiang had a change of heart. Maybe, Xin Yan could convince him to change his decision.
He could only sigh as he walked downstairs with a dejected look on his face.
Meanwhile, Tang Mei walked back into the room with clenched fists while holding the letter.
She sat on her bed as she reread the contents of the letter.
What was written in the letter was a blatant threat, and it was directed to her. It also mentioned what she had done which caused her father to be so annoyed.
’Li Qiang, I have done so much for you, but you have decided to treat me this way, I apologize, but I just have to do what I have planned,’ she thought to herself with clenched fists.
She felt betrayed, and could only do what she wanted to do, even if it might hurt her. As long as it could get her what she wanted, she will do it.
Tang Mo, who was in his room, could only hold his forehead in annoyance. Every single time, his sister always proved that she was a fool.
He looked at the time, and he noticed that it was quite late into the afternoon. He quickly freshened up, he was to visit his elder brother today.
His brother was living at a different location as he needed to recuperate.
He quickly dressed up but before leaving the house, he got a call from Zhou Mian, she was asking him if he had any activity planned out for the day.
He sighed a bit. Maybe it was not a bad idea to let his big brother meet his girlfriend. This was how much he valued her.
He informed her that he was going to pick her up from her apartment.
Twenty-five minutes later, he was at her apartment and she was already outside, waiting for him.
He signaled for her to come into the car, and she happily skipped over.
"Good afternoon," she greeted him with a bright smile to which he returned.
"You can’t do a day without me? We met yesterday," he pointed out, and she chuckled.
"It is not had that I do want to spend time with you, that’s by the way, where are we headed to?" She asked as she buckled her seat belt.
"We will be visiting my elder brother today," he casually informed as he ignited the engine and zoomed off.
"Elder brother?" Zhou Mian turned to look at him in surprise.
"Yes, I have an elder brother, we are three kids, my dad originally had two wives, his first wife was my mother; she gave birth to my brother and me, while the second wife gave birth to my younger sister, sadly, Tang Mei’s mother died during childbirth," he explained to her and she nodded.
"Why do we need to visit your brother?" She was curious. She did not know he had a brother, talk more of one which was older than he was.
"It seems you do not really know what happened in the past few years," he pointed out, and she nodded sheepishly.
She spent most of her time travelling, and was never present in Beijing, so she was not aware of major issues which might have taken place in the higher society, and she was also too lazy to ask about it.
"What had happened?" She asked. She was actually curious.
Tang Mo sounded like someone who was about visiting a sick person, and she was scared for some reason.
Tang Mo recounted every single event which had happened to his brother.
From his wife leaving him, to him to losing his sanity, to him almost losing his life before finally recuperating.
"Your brother has had it tough," she could only comment.
"Yeah, this was one of the reasons I became a playboy," he said with a nervous smile.
Zhou Mian looked at him with her brows raised. She did not expect him to say such words.
"Why did you say such?" She asked with her hands folded.
"You cannot blame me, I, personally, witnessed my brother go through such things, I was traumatized," he shrugged his shoulders as he continued driving.
Zhou Mian looked at him and nodded. What he said was true.
"I am actually very excited to meet your brother, I hope he is doing well," Zhou Mian changed the topic.
"He is recovering well, I always make out time to meet with him one day in each week to meet with him," Tang Mo spoke with excitement, and she nodded, happy to see a smile on his face.
