Bella Green heard this and stopped in her tracks, but did not turn around. Instead, she continued to listen to Francesca Willis.
"You always want to compete with Anna, but on what grounds? Anna was brought up by me, skilled in music, chess, calligraphy, painting, flower arrangement, and tea ceremonies, a source of pride that gets admiration wherever she goes. But what about you? All you’ve ever done is bring shame upon me. If it weren’t for your father’s insistence all these years, do you think I’d want to bring you back?" 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
This was the first time Bella had heard these words. She thought no matter what they said or did, it wouldn’t hurt her. But she overestimated her resilience.
It turned out Francesca not only disliked her but had never even considered finding her when she got lost...
She suddenly laughed, not knowing why after hearing these words, and after a moment of distress, she felt a particular sense of relief, as if something that had been troubling her had suddenly vanished.

"Do you want me to inform Samuel Gren about this...?"
"No need." Mason interrupted his words in a flat and expressionless voice.
"Huh?" Elliot was confused. Wasn’t the collaboration with the Green Family all because of young master Green?
Otherwise, with the Green Family’s status, how could they be eligible to collaborate with Nathan Bennett?
Initially intending for young master Green to gain importance within the Green Family, he hadn’t expected it to have no effect at all.
Elliot grumbled inwardly, wondering if Samuel Gren wasn’t just being stupid.
"Samuel Gren is really too hypocritical. At the time, he was all thrilled, praising young master Green endlessly, and then immediately turning on him," Elliot said angrily, as if the one wronged by Samuel Gren was him.
Mason couldn’t help but glance at Elliot, who was furious on behalf of Bella Green, eyes turning colder.
"Does it concern you?"
The icy, indifferent voice made Elliot shudder, looking bewildered, not knowing which of his words was wrong.
Immediately, Elliot shrank his neck, fearfully and respectfully looking at the Demon King, feeling aggrieved—what did he say wrong?
