Mason Bennett glanced at the sun that hadn’t completely set outside the window, his tone indifferent: "Is the night perfect?"
Bella Green followed his gaze, her face instantly darkened: "Seems a bit early..."
The man didn’t speak further and directly opened the surveillance video on that end.
Bella Green watched as the footage began to play, her entire body stiffened.
The footage had been edited, starting with Fiona Grantham knocking on the door.
Because the video had no sound, both stared at the screen, and for a moment, the room was so silent that the sound of breathing could be heard clearly.
Then, a pink figure rushed into the scene, directly jumping into Bella Green’s arms.
Bella Green, sitting in the man’s lap, clearly felt the temperature in the room suddenly drop.
Bella Green straightened her back, nervously watching the scene in front of her, her heartbeat speeding up.
In the footage, they seemed to say something, but it was inaudible; you could only see Joanna Ramsey and Nancy Lowe arguing a few times, then Joanna Ramsey got slapped.
"Look, look, they hit first!" Bella Green hastily pointed at the screen, loudly shouting in an attempt to divert the man’s attention.

The air cooled once again.
Bella Green held her lips tightly, feeling wronged: "You saw it, it wasn’t me who started it."
Mason Bennett lowered his head, looking at the little thing in his arms, a swirl of frustration in his chest.
"Hero rescuing a beauty?" The man’s tone was neither hurried nor slow, yet carried a chilling menace.
Bella Green broke out in a cold sweat; this statement didn’t sound like praise, did it?
"Well, not exactly, haha, just, seeing injustice..."
The man gave a cold snort and said nothing else.
Thinking about the next scene, Bella Green moved uneasily, trying to block Mason Bennett’s view.
The restless little thing in his arms caused the man’s eyes to darken a few shades.
Mason Bennett quickly grabbed her waist to stop her from fidgeting.
Then he slowly lowered his head, his warm breath brushed against her ear, hot and tickling.
"What do you want to do?"

Watching herself return to Joanna Ramsey’s side in the footage, smilingly chatting with Fiona Grantham, Bella Green suddenly closed her eyes, looking utterly defeated.

She didn’t dare to look, but Mason Bennett watched closely.
The extraordinarily handsome young man and the woman conversed, and after, suddenly kicked the woman’s chest, sending her flying.
