Those words nearly made Bella jump in fright. Discuss? She feared that in a discussion, she’d just end up being thoroughly dealt with by him.
"Tell me, what is our relationship now?" The man pressed on relentlessly.
Bella’s eyes reddened with urgency, but looking at the threat in the man’s eyes, she pouted and said, aggrieved.
"Girlfriend—ugh, I mean, boyfriend?"
It sounded strange, but Mason was satisfied and rewarded her with a light peck on the lips.

Bella glared at him angrily, suddenly, a mischievous light flashed in her eyes, and she said revengefully.

Mason heard this and raised an eyebrow, looking at him with a half-smile; although what she said was not wrong, it somehow felt like it had another layer of meaning when it came out of her mouth.
Suddenly, he lowered his head, placing his lips by her ear, and his deep, magnetic voice resonated with a teasing tone.
"We could try it in bed later, see if you can handle me!"
His provocative words made Bella shiver all over as she looked at Mason with a face full of terror.
