Vivian Thornecroft withdrew her gaze from the end of the road and looked at the fragile woman in front of her, seemingly about to be blown over by the wind. Her gold-rimmed glasses concealed the dim light in her eyes, and her thin lips slightly curled up.

The car had barely driven off when Mason hung up the phone and turned to look at Bella.
Bella Green touched her nose, a bit embarrassed to avoid the man’s gaze, and said in a muffled voice, "Uh, sorry, I was just thinking of calling Grandma to coordinate a bit. I didn’t expect her to actually ask you to pick me up. Uh, you can just drop me off up ahead."
"Didn’t arrange with Grandma." Mason said flatly, not intending to drop her off at the roadside as he looked her up and down.
Still dressed as she did the first time they met, white T-shirt, tight jeans?

After Bella Green’s protest was unsuccessful, the car went straight to the Bennett Family’s old house.
Bella Green looked at the villa outside the car window, pursing her lips, if only she had called Joanna Ramsey.
Once inside, Grandma Bennett happily pulled Bella Green over.
"Little Bella, how did Grandma coordinate?" The old lady blinked smugly, like a child asking for praise.

She took a deep breath and then smiled sweetly, "Coordinated perfectly, I specifically came to thank Grandma. It’s getting late, so I’ll head out first."
