The blonde-haired, blue-eyed woman helped Kun to his feet. After confirming he was steady, she walked over to Gu Tong, extended her slender hand, and said, "I’m Misya."
Gu Tong reached out her hand in response and said, "Gu Tong."
That counted as an introduction.
"I really must thank you this time. Kun and I left in such a hurry that we didn’t bring our private doctor. Who would have thought... something would happen... If it weren’t for you, I really don’t know what I would have done."
"You’re too kind. I think any other doctor would have done the same." Gu Tong withdrew her hand, her desire to leave growing stronger by the minute.
Because, in the moment they shook hands, Kun’s gaze was fixed on them, as if she were some kind of dangerous person who might pose a threat to Misya!

When out and about, Gu Tong certainly didn’t want to court trouble, so she said calmly, "I’ve been out for quite a while, surely my husband is worried. I’ll head home first."
She once again expressed her desire to leave.

Misya understood. If she stayed out for too long, surely Kun would be worried. Men are just like that—they need their woman in sight to feel at ease.
Gu Tong let out a light laugh, then turned to leave. However, the moment she turned, all the light before her was blocked, and a scent of mint flooded her nostrils.
Slowly lifting her head, the first thing she saw was Li Yan’s cold face. His hair was half-dry with water droplets trickling down onto his white T-shirt. A towel was draped over his shoulder, already more than half-soaked, indicating just how anxious Li Yan had been a moment ago.

"Where did you run off to?" The oppressing voice caused the surrounding air to suddenly drop in temperature.

One sentence cleverly alleviated the awkwardness and dispelled all of Li Yan’s anger. So it turned out his little woman had gone out to save someone, which explained her sudden disappearance.

"You’re too polite." Gu Tong gratefully stuck out her tongue at Misya and said, "You should quickly help Kun back to rest. He needs peace and quiet now. We’ll head back as well."

The initial emergency was finally resolved, and people gradually dispersed from the hallway.
After ensuring Misya had left, Gu Tong withdrew her gaze and said, "Honey, let’s go."
