Reborn as a Devouring Dragon with a System Chapter 126

A silver-haired young man with striking silver locks was holding a young boy with golden and black eyes. The young child, in turn, was holding a black-haired, black-eyed child who was shorter than him.

On the other side of the silver-haired young man stood a golden-haired, golden-eyed young lady. She remained close to the young man. This was Drakion and his group.

After much thought—and according to the old adage that says, "the most dangerous place is also the safest"—Drakion concluded that now, during this perilous time, was ironically the safest moment to move out.

Who would have thought that while the residents of the Origin Continent were desperately searching for Drakion and the Dragons, the Dragons themselves would appear, walking openly among them?

Now, Drakion and the others were playing the role of a family. At first, Drakion wanted Kaidros to be the father, Mia to be the mother, and he and Elemarion to be their children.

But Mia disagreed, bluntly refusing. So, Drakion had to adjust the roles. Kaidros would remain the father, but there would be no mother. Mia would be the elder sister, Drakion the middle child and her younger brother, while Elemarion would be the last born.

Well, with this arrangement, it meant that Kaidros would appear to be the oldest, though due to his cultivation, he retained a youthful appearance. It worked perfectly—Kaidos had the aura of an ancient soul. After all, he was once an old man and had the experience befitting a parent.

Drakion also began using the name Drake for this outing, and instead of his usual scythe, he opted for a sword. Elemarion’s name was shortened to Elem.

They journeyed to the Bestial Town. And of course, they garnered attention. Each one of them possessed radiant skin and an otherworldly beauty—handsome, cute, elegant, and enchanting.

"Wow, who is that family?"

"It’s like they descended from Heaven."

"Such elegance... I wonder what noble family they come from."

All eyes were on them. This town was mainly inhabited by mortals, and people like Drakion and his group rarely appeared here. Their aura alone said it all.

Drakion shook his head. There was no way they wouldn’t attract attention. Their only plan was to reach Kaidros’s sect.

They booked the most expensive inn in the town, shocking those who had secretly followed them. Word of their arrival began to spread quickly.

"Master, I’ll try to book a caravan or check if there’s one available," Kaidros said once they entered their room.

Drakion nodded—he had no objections.

Not long after, Kaidros returned with news: all the caravans had already departed. It would take two days before the next returning caravan arrived.

Drakion sighed, beginning to miss the Mechanical Dragon Bloodline. If he still had it, he could’ve transformed into a car—not just any ordinary one—and taken them straight to their destination.

"Alright, no problem. We’ll wait two days for the caravan to arrive," Drakion agreed.

[System has detected something related to Dragons in this town (✷‿✷)]

The system’s notification startled Drakion. Something related to Dragons was nearby? He recalled the Dragon Scale he had once seen in this very town.

Suddenly, the interface shifted. The next moment, he saw the full layout of the town displayed on the system interface.

"Whoa... since when could you do this?" Drakion asked, clearly surprised.

[This is child’s play. Host shouldn’t belittle the system (눈‸눈)]

Drakion simply smiled. He wasn’t in the mood for another verbal battle with the system.

Then, something caught his eye—a glowing red dot on the layout of Bestial Town, marked clearly on the system interface.

"Kaidros," Drakion said, a sly smile curving his lips. "It’s time to move. There’s a treasure to hunt."

Kaidros and Drakion found themselves at the market once again, with Elemarion trailing close behind. The young child simply refused to leave his Papa’s side.

Though intelligent beyond his years, he always opposed staying away from Drakion—especially in Quinn’s absence. So they had only left Mia at the inn, and naturally, Drakion didn’t want her engulfed in boredom.

He handed her some money so she could buy clothes. And the moment she heard the word clothes—as expected of ladies—her ears perked up, and she nodded eagerly, hurrying off toward the direction where they had previously bought garments.

Drakion reminded her not to hold back if anyone dared to harm her. Being a wielder of light, she possessed an innate sensitivity to malicious intent. Because of that, he had no worries about her safety.

Drakion followed the system’s guidance, but as they passed through the bustling market square, a flicker of familiarity struck him. Still, he brushed the feeling aside.

That was until they arrived at the designated location—and there it stood: a tattered shop, worn and weathered. Drakion’s expression soured as he shook his head.

Why does it have to be this shop?

It was the same place where they had previously acquired the Dragon Scale.

"System, are you sure about this?" Drakion asked once again. Because if this was truly the place... why would an old man possess such a Draconic treasure? And for what purpose?

[Are you suggesting this system is wrong (눈‸눈)? Since Host acquired a scale here, why can’t he also find other Dragon resources? ಠಿ_ಠ]

Drakion heard this and nodded thoughtfully. He motioned for Kaidros to call out to the shop owner. They called... and called... but no one answered.

So they proceeded to look inside.

There, lying on the ground, they found the person in question—fast asleep.

Kaidros nudged the figure gently, waking him up. And when they caught sight of the man’s face—it was indeed the same old man.

The old man yawned as his drowsy eyes fluttered open.

"Has a customer arrived?"

If one wasn’t perceptive, they wouldn’t notice that the entire shop was packed with peak-tier materials, hidden in plain sight.

The old man turned toward Drakion and the others. The moment he recognized them, he sprang to his feet with a delighted grin.

"It seems my customers have returned."
