Chapter 1079: Chapter 1079: Daughter-in-law, I’m Here
Feng Hui watched as the sedan drove off, only then did she react, “Tianming, she just left, what should we do now?”
Luo Tianming let out a bitter smile, “What else do you want her to do, treat you like an honored guest? Haven’t you thought about how we treated her before? The fact that she managed to borrow money for us is already more than we deserve. If it weren’t for that tiny bit of remaining gratitude towards my mother, do you think she would have even met with us?”
Feng Hui looked around, seeing no one: “Worst comes to worst, I’ll make a fuss with the hospital’s leadership, and see if they still want to keep her.”
Luo Tianming shook his head and said, “This is Capital City, your tantrums are like those of a lunatic here. Didn’t you see that she left in a car? The man with her, needless to say, is her husband. If you dare to make trouble, he’ll have you thrown out of Capital City within minutes. Don’t believe me? Just try it.”
Feng Hui scowled, “What a schemer, borrowing money for us, and she thought of that? All borrowed money has to be repaid, doesn’t it?”
Luo Tianming sighed deeply, “She’s right; we went too far. Since we switched the two children, we should have treated her well. Talking about it now is too late.”
Feng Hui also sighed, “Who would have known she wasn’t genuinely the daughter of that rural couple? If I’d known her real parents were in Capital City, would I have treated her like that? What do we do now?”
Luo Tianming looked around, “If worse comes to the absolute worst, we’ll stay in the hospital lobby for the night. At the very least, it’s warmer inside than out.”
Feng Hui shook her head adamantly, “No, no, you’re still sick; your body’s already weak. Let’s find a hostel and stay there for the night. Let’s not have you grow more seriously ill.”
Luo Tianming thought it over and agreed with his wife’s suggestion.

Lu Yichen drove the car, “Qiaoqiao, how do you plan to handle this?”
Luo Qiao looked out the window, “His illness is very serious. I have no good feelings for that couple, and if it weren’t for Grandma Luo, I wouldn’t even have seen them. But I am a doctor, and I have my own ethical standards.
I asked Huo Yuhao to come over, and I had the children of the Luo Family from Ji City come over to sign an IOU because Huo Yuhao is quite the public figure in Ji City now, and they wouldn’t dare renege. Additionally, if something were to happen to Luo Tianming, those children from the Luo Family might deny the debt, so they must be informed and sign it.
While I don’t hate them now, I also can’t forgive them, so I didn’t actually want to lend them money. Bringing Huo Yuhao into this saved us a lot of trouble.
Besides, they probably intended not to repay the loan from the start, so I couldn’t possibly let them succeed.
Further, I won’t be conducting his surgery personally—firstly because I am technically on vacation now, and secondly, I worry about the bad outcome that could happen, making things unclear.

Luo Qiao was not fearful of what others would say, but she had the Luo Family behind her, and she couldn’t allow the family’s upbringing to be questioned, nor did she want to affect the man by her side or her two daughters because of this.
So, she still needed to keep up appearances.
Lu Yichen held Luo Qiao’s hand, “Qiao Bao, you suffered a lot in your childhood… I will make it up to you.”
Upon hearing these words, Luo Qiao smiled gracefully, “It’s fine, it’s all in the past. I’m very happy now.”
When they arrived home, everyone was still waiting.
Luo Qiao briefly explained the situation, allowing everyone to rest assured and go to sleep.
Yanyan and Yueyue had already bathed, and now they could barely keep their eyes open. Yanyan snuggled into Luo Qiao’s arms, “Mom, I’m sleepy, I want to go to sleep.”
“Okay, Mommy will carry you back to sleep.”
From Lu Yi’s arms, Yueyue, hearing her mother’s words, closed her eyes and fell asleep right away.
Gu Qianru brought over two blankets, “It’s cold outside, wrap up so you don’t catch a chill. I told you to sleep in the front room with me, but no, you insisted on waiting on the sofa in the living room for your return.”
After the two little ones were carried back to bed and tucked in with a kiss on each of their foreheads, they returned to their own room.
Luo Qiao took her pajamas and went to shower, the water splashing on her face, and she reminisced about the original owner’s years living on the farm. Luo Qiao felt her actions today were not excessive in the slightest.
She walked out of the bathroom, drying her hair, “Brother Chen, I’ve finished showering; you go ahead.”
Lu Yi got out of bed to get the hairdryer, and helped her dry her hair; standing behind her, he could see the enticing view down her neckline, prompting a reaction from little Yi.
He quickly grabbed pajamas from the wardrobe, turned, and entered the bathroom. After taking a quick shower, he came out in just his shorts, swiftly drying his head and nonchalantly tossing the towel aside.
