That day, as she left school and was about to go to the Jun family’s office, she was stopped not far from campus by those seniors in the lab who disliked her, and behind them, five or six thugs appeared.

Seeing that Luo Qiao showed no fear, Emma gestured backward, and the thugs, whistling, started walking over, “Pretty Eastern girl, you’re really beautiful.”

Luo Qiao spoke calmly, “Aren’t you worried that the school might find out and punish you?”
Emma shrugged disdainfully, “Was anyone watching? Even if you tell on me, who would believe you without any evidence?” She then laughed arrogantly.
Luo Qiao turned to the other seniors, “Thomas, Steven, Madeline, did you come here with Emma? Is this what you think as well?”
The three of them remained silent.
Luo Qiao asked again, “Answer me, are you cowards, doing deeds but too scared to own up, using Emma as a scapegoat?”
Steven finally spoke, “I’ve wanted Professor Wilson as my mentor for a long time. I had hope, but ever since you arrived, it’s never been the same. You’ve stolen all the attention from Professor Wilson, so you better take Emma’s advice and leave the lab.”
Luo Qiao replied coolly, “Steven, you really overestimate yourself. Blaming me for your incompetence is contemptible.”
Steven became heated, “This is Boston, America, not China. If you want to be harassed every day, I don’t mind.”
Luo Qiao’s face turned cold, “You really are shameless.”
Thomas, seeing Luo Qiao was not mincing her words, told Steven, “Stop wasting words with her.”
Luo Qiao looked at Thomas, “Thomas, if I’m not mistaken, they came looking for trouble at your instigation, didn’t they? You’re really something.”
Thomas became flustered, “Don’t talk nonsense, this has nothing to do with me.”
Luo Qiao scorned,” ‘Nothing to do with you,’ means if something happens, they take the fall, and you share no responsibility, right?”
At this point, Steven and Emma looked at him, his face reddened and he snapped at Luo Qiao, “Don’t stir up trouble here; we’re friends.”
Luo Qiao mocked, “Friends, yet they are still being used by you.”
Madeline, who had been quiet at the back, was also a schemer like Thomas. Through her interactions over the past few days, Luo Qiao knew Madeline to be a manipulative type.
Luo Qiao looked at Madeline with a smirk, “And you, Madeline, what role do you play in this? Perhaps always talking behind my back to Emma, and then getting her to find people to deal with me.
Just like Thomas, you want to use others to drive me away and reap the benefits. Isn’t that correct?”
Madeline, slightly annoyed, replied, “You stole Professor Wilson’s attention, that’s a fact. There’s no need to sow discord among us.”
