When the plane ascended above three thousand meters, the two children became even more excited, seeing the beautiful clouds and the azure sky.
After having lunch, they finally felt sleepy. He Qing asked for blankets to cover the two children, letting them rest, and she herself closed her eyes to nap.

Around six o’clock, the announcement came over the intercom reminding passengers that the plane was descending and to return to their seats and fasten their seat belts. Hearing the announcement, the two little ones instantly perked up fully refreshed.
Yanyan looked out the window, “Auntie He, is it morning now where Great Grandpa is?”
He Qing tapped Yanyan’s little head, “Very smart.”
Yueyue, watching the ground and the buildings growing closer and bigger, said, “We’re finally going to see Mom.”
After deplaning and collecting their luggage, the two little ones were getting impatient, continuously asking which way to go?
Once the group collected their luggage and came out, they saw Luo Qiao waiting outside. The two children who had been looking for their mom rushed to her the moment they saw her, and once they were in their mother’s arms, they suddenly started to cry.
Luo Qiao’s heart ached, “Don’t cry, here you are seeing your mom. Good girl, Mom brought you delicious cream cakes and fruit cakes.”
At the mention of food, the two little ones stopped crying but still wouldn’t leave Luo Qiao’s embrace.
Luo Qiao said, “Good girl, Mom will take you to eat something tasty tonight.”
After calming down the little ones, Luo Qiao finally stood up to greet everyone, “Rong Daniang, Elder Rong, was everything okay on the trip? It must have been hard on you, traveling such a long way for my sake.”
Rong Daniang smiled and waved her hand, “It was all very good. Despite our age, we’re able to visit America, and it’s all thanks to your blessings.”
Over the years, Rong Daniang and Elder Rong had been eating vegetables grown with Special Ability, and Luo Qiao would occasionally put some Spatial Well Water into their home’s water tank. They were in great health.
Luo Qiao smiled, “As long as you’re fine, I was just worried that the old and the young may tire Wei Jun and He Qing out.”
Turning with a smile to Wei Jun and He Qing, “Thank you both for your hard work.”
Both replied at the same time, “It’s what we should do.”
The group pushed their luggage outside, the two chattery little ones talking nonstop. After getting in the car, Luo Qiao said, “I’ve already booked the hotel. We’ll stay in New York for the night, so you all can rest well. Tomorrow we’ll take the train back to Boston.”
Upon arriving at the hotel, Luo Qiao assigned their rooms, asking everyone to go to their rooms to put away their luggage and to rest a bit before going out for dinner.
She had scoped out the area earlier in the afternoon, worried that everyone would not be used to local food and thought it best to take everyone for Chinese food tonight to avoid any issues with Western food.
Back in their room, Yanyan and Yueyue’s first order of business was to report their safe arrival to their relatives in their home country, “Great Grandpa, we’ve arrived in New York, Mom picked us up and we’re at the hotel now. Don’t worry. Great Grandpa, we’ll bring back something tasty for you, and tell Great Granny not to worry, we weren’t airsick and will listen to Mom.”
“Great Granny, we’ve crossed the Pacific Ocean. What you said was right, ‘across mountains and seas,’ it took so many transfers to finally see Mom. Rest assured, we will learn this gibberish foreign talk well, so when we go back to school it won’t be difficult for us.”
“Uncle, Aunt, we’ve arrived and will behave well and won’t disturb Mom’s studies, waiting to bring back gifts for you.”
In the end, they reasoned that they couldn’t treat anyone unfairly and made separate calls to Grandpa and Granny as well, before finally putting down the costly international phone charges.
After finishing their calls, the two little ones looked at Luo Qiao, “Mom, everyone says international calls are so expensive, we won’t call our uncles. Let Great Grandpa and Great Granny notify them instead.”
