Outside, there was a large area where she could place the items that night, before leading them in from the roadside.
After ensuring the spot was good and safe, she entered her space, cooked herself a bowl of noodles with tomato and egg sauce, and quickly finished lunch. She also rested for a while in her space, but for fear of missing the afternoon exam, she didn’t stay long.
In the last exam of the afternoon, Luo Qiao didn’t wait until the end, finishing it in half an hour, handed in her paper, and left.
She still needed to go fishing in the pond by the mountainside. She didn’t want to be there after dark as the pond gave off an eerie vibe. After all, everyone said it was too deep.

She walked around the yard without coming up with a solution, and while considering the vines on the mountain, she realized they could damage the fish scales. Then, she spotted the clothes on the kang in the house and took the most worn piece into her space.
She trimmed off the unnecessary parts and used the sewing machine assembled the previous night to sew the clothes into a bag roughly the size of a bucket. She reinforced the bottom with an extra layer, neatly cut several holes, and made handles on top.
In the small pit, she had dug by the river in her space the night before, she laid down the oilpaper stored in the warehouse, planning to use her mind to collect fish into it at the pond to prevent water from seeping into the ground.
With everything prepared to her satisfaction, she finished up, exited the space, shouldered her basket, and headed up the mountain. The pond was not far from the bottom of the mountain and didn’t take long to reach, though it was off the usual path up.
One had to turn to another side, where few people went.
Just like before, she added some well water to the pond and waited roughly fifteen minutes. Then she saw a shadow moving toward her from the rocky side of the mountain.
