Reborn as a Superpower Girl in the 80s Chapter 82

Chapter 82: Chapter 82 Breaking the Secret Chapter 82: Chapter 82 Breaking the Secret Luo Qiao had her dinner and waited till the sky was completely dark before she left the village for the commune. With this batch of fish sold, she would make a hundred and forty yuan.

But such a business couldn’t be pursued too many times; the fish in that pond couldn’t be completely fished out—there had to be time for them to replenish themselves.

She only wanted to use these fish to earn some capital, then move on to other endeavors.

Without capital, even the best ideas amounted to nothing.

She had long decided that once she had some money, she would make a few trips down south under the pretext of searching for her biological parents. Once she started college and got a bit older, she would find some reliable projects to work on; living her days freely and comfortably sounded pretty good.

The night was dark without moonlight, making Luo Qiao walk extra carefully. If it weren’t for her physical skills, she would indeed be scared in such blackness.

However, as she walked on, she overheard someone talking in the distance. The voice sounded familiar, “Chunli, make sure you’ve settled things with the other side. We can’t afford any mistakes. If that damn girl gets suspicious, it’ll be troublesome later on.”

Luo Qiao wondered who Chunli was. Was there such a person in Qingshan Village? She didn’t seem to know her.

Then she heard, “Okay, the day after tomorrow have them meet at the designated place to pick up the person. If this works out, we’re talking about a hundred yuan here. I’ll renovate my house with that money.”

“Sister-in-law, don’t forget my thirty. I’ve been busy with this, you know.”

“All right, it’s getting late. Be careful not to let your family notice. You should head back soon, too. We’ll act according to the situation the day after tomorrow.”

Luo Qiao hid behind a tree, watching as the two parted ways. She recognized Gao Suhua walking back towards the village, but she had never seen the other person, who walked off in a different direction. Luo Qiao couldn’t see her face clearly, but she memorized the voice.

Squinting her eyes, Luo Qiao thought about whom Gao Suhua and this woman were plotting against. Recalling what Stone had previously said, she shivered. Surely, they weren’t planning to target her?

After all, that child had said Gao Suhua wanted to sell her. Gao Suhua was definitely not kind-hearted; someone who could consider swapping children would certainly stoop to any means for money.

Touching her chin, Luo Qiao mulled over her options internally, “You all better not provoke me. Although I haven’t followed the route of the original character in the book, as long as you leave me alone, I’ll teach you a lesson as revenge for the original character when the time comes.”

But if they set their sights on her, they couldn’t blame her for making them lose face.

Having made up her mind, Luo Qiao didn’t fret any longer. “Soldiers will block, water will cover.” She quickened her pace toward the commune.

She planned to find a ticket to buy a watch once she had the money, or even an alarm clock would do. She wasn’t good at telling time by the sun, and not knowing the time was truly aggravating.

Upon reaching her destination, she entered the woods. Fortunately, the well house wasn’t far from the main road, positioned right behind a few large trees. Luo Qiao estimated that she might have to wait a little longer.

So she entered the space first, and after about half an hour, she heard the sound of a car stopping outside.

Luo Qiao left the space, moving the water bucket and wooden basin out of the well house, along with a bamboo basket lined with oil paper—she really didn’t have any other containers for the fish.

After organizing her things, Luo Qiao walked outside in the dark, swearing to herself that she would definitely buy a flashlight from the supply and marketing cooperative someday; it was just too inconvenient without one.

Inside the space, Luo Qiao had also put on makeup. She felt it was best to be cautious in everything, to avoid any trouble for herself.
