He had already sensed something was off, which was why he bought the snacks below—to watch and see who was behind them. He hadn’t expected Luo Qiao to be so sensitive to it as well.

By the time they got their movie tickets and sat down, whoever had been tracking them had disappeared.
Luo Qiao whispered, “Do you know who was following us?”
Lu Yichen glanced at the entrance, “Who it specifically was, we’ll need to investigate, but it could just be a coincidence. However, you should be more cautious when you’re out alone in the future.”

Then, teasingly, she added, “Marrying you seems risky. Is it too late to have regrets now?”
Lu Yichen pulled her hand close and bit it lightly, “Don’t even think about it.”

The whole room burst into laughter, and the eldest sister-in-law said, “In just over twenty days you’ll be getting married. We wanted to let you experience what it’s like to be the apple of our eye.”
