In that case, it might not be such a bad thing. Having already lost control and resigned themselves to their plight, Oluks could only try to view things in a positive light.
The bustling process of integration lasted until nightfall on the planet.
For the Lokav group, the submission wasn’t as simple or immediate, but Jia Yan’s next plan was impatiently awaiting execution.
So, he called Oluks to the top of his vehicle!
The night was calm, looking at the distant starry sky, at the faintly suspended ’Brown Dwarf Star’, Jia Yan glanced favorably at the more respectful Oluks beside him. From his observation over the past few days, he figured this frogman had no grand ambitions.
"Oluks, from this day forward, the convoy will officially be renamed the ’Earth team’, do you agree?" he said calmly.
Oluks trembled at the thought!
As he suspected, Mr. Monster wouldn’t let his convoy off easily...
However, he was mentally prepared for this when he was summoned by Big Mosquito. Therefore, he remained composed.
But what on earth is the ’Earth Team’?!
Naturally, Oluks did not understand the term ’Earth’ but assumed it held a special meaning for Big Mosquito!
"Alright, Lord. From now on, this convoy will officially be named the Earth Team." He reluctantly nodded, knowing the situation was out of his control. Being just a puppet character, he wasn’t too bothered about the convoy being no longer named after him. It just meant one lesser problem to deal with.
"You’re prudent. Now that the convoy has been renamed, I need to make some military adjustments. There may be some expeditions in the near future. I plan on forming a group called the ’Earth Army’, and I hope you can assist me in coordinating it. If you do well, you won’t be treated poorly."
Jia Yan found himself feeling slightly awkward saying these words. Having never been a superior, the sudden management and oversight was a bit crude.
"Yes, I shall serve loyally!"
Oluks didn’t notice the awkwardness in Jia Yan’s words. He simply followed the instructions diligently.
"By the way, how should I address you?!"
After some hesitation, Oluks finally asked. Being the de facto leader, it would be strange if no one knew what to call this life form.
Fortunately, after a moment of surprise, Jia Yan quickly told Oluks that the convoy people could call him ’assassin’.
This was the title given to him by the War Pet Arena. Now it seemed quite fitting, although the original intention was to liken him to an unexpected champion assassin. However, Jia Yan associated it with his forefoot.
Aftrer all, his primary form of attack is usually by stabbing with his forefoot. Thus, the title of assassin isn’t completely out of place.
After discussing some other matters, Jia Yan started growing impatient.
After all, he didn’t have much experience with this kind of thing and didn’t want to waste too much energy on it. Essentially, he was a life form that wanted to become stronger and was not too concerned with external matters.
Oluks then noticed Jia Yan’s lack of patience and realized that he was not one for micro-management!
This was good news for him. Subordinates always had more freedom under superiors who dislike managing things. Who knows, he might become a top figure, second to none but one and above thousands, even millions!
After discussing a few more matters, Big Frog, with his bulging eyes, stuttered slightly...
"Lord Assassin, Lokav must die. Although he’s a very powerful being, his reckless actions and resistance to submit to others mean that sooner or later, there will be trouble."
Jia Yan stared blankly at him.
Being utterly honest with your thoughts and voicing them out directly is something he liked.
The former leader of the Lokav convoy, the crocodile-headed Lokav, was in his own battle car.
"That damned monster! Impossible! He might be very powerful, but he must have a weakness. When I find it, I’ll seek my revenge!"
He was unbuckling his weaponry, though not just simple things. As a convoy leader, his gear could marginally resist impacts and other damages.
Being nighttime, it was natural to sleep. Although the night on this planet was a bit longer for beings from any planet, no one had the mood to do anything else at this late hour.
Just when Lokav was cursing and thinking of lying down, he suddenly felt...!
"Huh!!..." This powerful crocodile leader suddenly felt like there was a shiny mosquito skull appearing outside his battle car window!
What kind of a monster is this?!
He has a slender snout and it’s dripping bright red blood.
"You!" His face changed drastically as he was about to pounce and grab his weapon!
