Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito Chapter 718

The weighty forelimbs gently tread onto the soft terrain, causing the ground to depress immediately under the sheer weight.

However, Big Mosquito did not halt, instead heading rapidly towards the burrow entrance.

In front of him was the pitch-black entrance, still appearing mysterious. However, Big Mosquito had encountered many storms in the past and nothing here could possibly intimidate him; other than stirring his interest.

With a swift movement of his forelimbs, a swath of soil was raked up. Before this swath of soil could scatter in the air, another forelimb was already bringing up a large amount of soil!

The splattered soil, carried aloft by brainwave power, was gently set aside to a distant area.

Some may question this method of digging, but the speed and strength of the Big Mosquito were astonishing. His speed could even be described in terms of velocity! In the blink of an eye, a huge pile of soil started to appear on the ground, all unearthed from his extensive digging.

All of this was accomplished in an impressive ten seconds!

After this short time, Big Mosquito had already leaped into the burrow!

Behind him, the tumbling rocks and soil bore witness to Jia Yan’s rapid progress.

Heading towards the underground world that had stayed only in his memory for a long time!

"I wonder if those strange plants are still there and whether the ’home’ I built is still there."

Thinking of what he’d done when he was weaker, Jia Yan felt nostalgia. Even though, in his perception, it was merely three years, it felt like centuries had passed. He felt an impatient urge to revisit it all!

The heavy sound echoed relentlessly underneath!

A Starry Sky Level Expert digging a hole? How efficient!

No one knew for sure, but all extra-terrestrial beings understood that if a life form that had reached the Starry Sky Level intended to do this task, their efficiency would be unimaginably great. After all, their might was so substantial that even the vast universe couldn’t restrict them, let alone the soil of an ordinary planet!

Rustle, Rustle, Rustle...

Finally, Jia Yan heard a large commotion in the soil in front of his forelimbs.

A sparkle flashed across his compound eyes, and then he looked towards the sky above.

Approximately two kilometers under the surface. He not only dug through it in less than five minutes but also did so without the slightest bit of effort.

In the past, to cover this distance, he had to fight tooth and nail with the Army of Weasels. Now, deep underground, that no longer seemed to be a big deal.

Shaking his head, he put aside these surreal feelings.

Jia Yan looked down upon the tunnel with a sinking feeling of disappointment.

Because the tunnel beneath had already been developed. Obviously, the Metal Monsters had constructed this place. While they had expanded a considerable amount of space, allowing him to barely fit in, the original integrity of the underground world was likely no more...

He descended into the tunnel.

The tunnel below was a gigantic space, over twenty meters in height, and it extended straight into an enormous cavern.

The other end of the tunnel led somewhere unknown, as it was not visible beyond the turning corner.

Following the mutation, his vision had enhanced dramatically, so in the dimly lit environment, Big Mosquito could still clearly see the path ahead. Even if the sight were blocked, he could use his heat detection ability to sense the terrain and strategize his movements.

Jia Yan continued ahead.

Suddenly, a series of noises stirred his attention.

Dozens of small forms appeared before Big Mosquito!

Before these red-eyed monsters could launch their attack, their heads exploded into debris under the impact of Jia Yan’s brainwave power!

Jia Yan moved forward.

He was not surprised to encounter Metal Monsters here. After all, they had only wiped out the Metal Monsters on the Earth’s surface. The true identity of these monsters was mining machines, and who knows how many of them might exist underground.

The footsteps of the Metal Monsters kept approaching, but one by one their brains exploded before they could even get close to Big Mosquito!

These explosions weren’t potent enough to cause the tunnel to collapse. Jia Yan was cautious, and so, he experienced no mishaps along the way.

Finally, the ’Underground World’ he was once familiar with was now in sight!

"I can’t believe it’s turned into this..."

What lay before Big Mosquito was a world full of light!

To his surprise, the glow-producing algae that once filled this world had been replaced by light bulbs. These weren’t the low-efficiency lighting gadgets of Earth, but rather advanced illumination devices built using alien technology that made the whole cave brilliantly luminous!

The underground world was no longer what Jia Yan used to know.

The colossal space, once filled with towering trees, was now home to huge machines, surrounded by countless large and small pipes crisscrossing and extending out to numerous holes, leading to unknown destinations.

The towering machines were still operating. Metal Monsters were being shifted around on the automated conveyer belts. Robotic equipment sparkled like welding machines, slowly building up the bodies of the monsters.

"This is actually a Metal Monster manufacturing workshop!"

While being amazed, Big Mosquito somewhat understood how the Metal Monsters were produced.

"But since I’ve found this place, it definitely needs to be destroyed!"

With this thought, Big Mosquito suddenly disappeared from his spot!

(The new book has been started, titled "Super Evolution Mutation", but it looks like it hasn’t passed the review even after a day, so it might not be visible until tomorrow. I want to clarify again that the updates for "Giant Mosquito" will not slow down because of the new book. Please support the new book as well, it’s also about mutations. Thanks!)
