A land of nothingness.
In the vast universe, there was neither heaven nor earth; it seemed as though there was nothing at all. To nearly all life forms, the universe was something to both revere and yearn for.
And those species that could, in a sense, conquer this vast starry sky, were considered high-level intelligent races.
However, among intelligent races there were hierarchies, and not every species could survive and thrive.
The more intelligent the species, the more terrifying its wars.
And closely linked to war was another kind of existence—the Strong Ones, who, in the later stages of high-intelligence species, emerged as a primary derivative existence.
Powerful Strong Ones could easily influence the outcome of a war, even the fate of an entire species.
The Tianlong Clan was one such species from which Strong Ones abundantly emerged.
In the universe, a fleet of the Tianlong Clan’s battleships seemed to appear and vanish like ghosts, silently awaiting in the sky.
They didn’t know how long they had been waiting.
Finally, a ship slowly made its way into this deserted region of the universe.
The size of the ship wasn’t large, and its appearance did not suggest it was meant for battle.
The flame jetting from its stern was stable and filled with a mysterious sense of propulsion; it faintly seemed to be extremely high in temperature.
And when it arrived in this area, that fleet of battleships finally moved!
One after another, flame ejection burst forth as the engines roared into life. It was as if in the pitch-black night sky, a number of small stars suddenly lit up.
Among these few battleships, the flagship was a huge single-person battleship measuring over five hundred meters in size.
Within the battleship, a being fulfilling the role of deputy, respectfully said to the tall, red Monster who started up the battleship, "Congratulations, Lord, we finally caught this Jia Yan. With so many of our battleships encircling him, he surely won’t escape!"
"Hmph, this Outsider thought he could kill my Star son and get away? Ridiculous!"
"No matter how strong he is, he can’t fully utilize his combat power in the universe, he is bound to die anyway!"
The conversations inside the battleship were vicious and filled with hatred. It seemed that the speaker harbored immense hatred for the person aboard the lone ship ahead.
And not without reason, for the pilot of that ship was the same being who had a profound hatred for the driver of the ship ahead.
Facing the sudden appearance of these battleships, the ship ahead, now faintly surrounded, showed no fear; instead, it strangely came to a halt in this moment.
"Lord Star, the other party is requesting communication!" Inside the flagship, the deputy Monster suddenly exclaimed to the driver with a sense of surprise.
"Oh? Connect and let’s see what he has to say before dying." The huge being at the helm seemed oddly curious about the communication.
The communication was connected. In front of the pilot seat, a floating holographic screen about twenty meters in size appeared.
"Hello, Lord Star. Long time no see." Before an image appeared on the screen, a voice came through.
Afterward, a being as terrifying as the red Monster on this side appeared on the screen, its face revealed in the image.
"Jia Yan!" Upon seeing the face of this being, the huge red Monster could barely contain the urge to kill.
"Lord Star, I wonder why you are intercepting me as I traverse the universe? You should know that I am one of the Gathering Conference participants. If you harm me, the Gathering Conference Committee surely won’t let you off," said the being from the other side, calmly.
"One of the participants? Haha. Do you think an Outsider like you is qualified to take part? I’m not afraid of this Gathering Conference Committee. Avenging my son’s death is what matters most. Prepare to die!" The red Monster spewed the sinister words.
"Sorry, Lord Star, although Lord Jia Yan is not on the protection list, our Angel Camp is, and we’re part of it. Are you really going to attack us?"
Suddenly, beams of light shot from afar, swift as lightning. Each beam was a battleship, and together they encompassed Lord Star’s small battleship fleet within their attack range.
Fire countermeasure systems activated one by one, triggering alarms across the small fleet of battleships.
"Angel Camp, you dare meddle in the affair between Jia Yan and me?!" The red Monster’s eyes bulged with rage, nearly out of its mind with fury.
"Why wouldn’t we interfere? Until the external support contract with Jia Yan is terminated, he is one of us, from Angel Camp. If you strike at him, surely we are obliged to retaliate! What will it be, Star? Will you fight or not?"
"Lord, they’re all Star Space Level beings. Though fewer in number than our fleet, all of their pilots are Sky Level. If it comes to a fight, we will undoubtedly lose!" said the deputy on Lord Star’s side, analyzing the situation with a fearful tone.
Lord Star, as a Star Space Level Existence, and a mighty member of the Dragon Race, had never shown a trace of fear in any battle. But the disparity in strength was too blatant now. Hearing the voice of the deputy, Lord Star emitted an attack of Power in irritation!
The deputy was blasted against the wall and slowly slid down, instantly unconscious or perhaps dead.
"Angel Camp, you’ll remember this! And Jia Yan, the enmity of killing a son is irreconcilable! No matter where you go, I will find you and kill you. Just wait!"
