Chapter 21: Chapter 21 What’s going on?
The guard was just about to push him inside when he saw his master’s gaze and immediately let go, standing guard outside the door.

“Take off your clothes.” Shao He was preparing, giving orders to the neatly dressed man.

Unable to stand watching, Shao He went over, unfastened his belt, peeled back his clothes, and gazed at the pale skin, the fine collarbone, her eyes inadvertently drifting downward.

His tone was full of concern and worry.
“Hmm?” Shao He blinked, puzzled,
Pei Huaian lowered his gaze to hide the emotion in his eyes, and when he looked up again, his expression was placid,
“Never mind, just asking,” Pei Huaian pursed his lips, a fleeting complex look crossing his eyes.
As morning light streamed into the room, Shao He woke up to find Pei Huaian had vanished.
She did not mind, freshened up, and was ready to continue seeing patients.
Suddenly, the sound of gongs and drums came from outside, drawing many patients out to see the commotion. Shao He also got up and followed them.
Outside, the sound of gongs and drums filled the air, firecrackers were popping, and two men were carrying a plaque towards them, followed by Lady Jhiang and Jhiang Yijia.
All along the way, many people turned to look.
Shao He frowned and looked over, recognizing the followers as Lady Jhiang and her daughter.
“Doctor Shao.” Lady Jhiang hurried over with her daughter.
