The nanny hurriedly led her into the mansion, to the chamber where the mistress was.
Even before they approached, they could hear the sounds of crying from inside, the pregnant woman’s sobs heartbreakingly sad and desperate.
Shao He frowned slightly and quickened her pace.
After pushing open the door and entering, she was hit by an unpleasant odor that instantly made her complexion turn sour.
Many people were gathered around the bed, all with faces full of worry, except for the one lying on the bed, pale, with sweat-soaked hair sticking to her face.
When she arrived, everyone’s eyes turned toward her, filled with hope and longing.
Shao He nodded at them and then reached out to lift the covers to check on the pregnant woman’s condition.

The midwife, trying to make her case to the lady, said, “Look at how arrogant she is, my lady. If you entrust the young mistress to her, who knows what might happen.”
Shao He approached the lady with a very serious tone, “If you trust me, then send everyone out, and do not let anyone in. No matter what noises come from inside, before I open the door, no one is allowed to enter. Otherwise, it might result in two deaths.”
“How do we know what you will do inside the room? What if you harm the young mistress?”
“Are you brainless, or did you leave your brain at home? What good would it do me to harm the pregnant woman?” Shao He couldn’t understand why she had such vile thoughts.

While disinfecting, Shao He had Lin Shuangqiao prepare tools such as a scalpel.
Once everything was ready, Shao He put on gloves and began the surgery, instructing the woman to take deep breaths, push, and applied pressure on her abdomen.
