Tang Jingming led Shi Mei through the door, his heart in turmoil and conflicted.
Especially when he saw Shi Lingyan dressed up and ready to go to the company, he felt the world was incredibly unfair and burst out, "Brother-in-law!"
Shi Lingyan leisurely sipped his coffee and acknowledged with a nonchalant hum.
Tang Jingming's bluster immediately deflated, but he wasn't willing to give up that easily and pointed to Shi Mei behind him, "Who is this? Why does she call you husband?"
Shi Lingyan paused, glancing at them.
Tang Jingming was wearing a dejected expression.
And his silly wife, cluelessly beaming with a goofy smile.
Putting down his coffee cup, Shi Lingyan crossed his long legs and simply stated, "I married her."
Tang Jingming felt as if his heart had been stabbed repeatedly, his face stricken with hurt, "She... You... Wait a minute," he snapped out of it, "Didn't you marry an idiot?"
Upon receiving confirmation, Tang Jingming whipped around.
Shi Mei looked at his expression and finally felt at ease, giggling silly with a piece of dark chocolate in her hand.
Tang Jingming then realized that the girl seemed to have been overly pure and sweet from start to finish.
Taking a sharp breath, Tang Jingming, unwilling to concede, pinched her hat, "She looks pretty normal to me, how can she be an idiot?"
But then, Tang Jingming got a figurative slap in the face.
He had either angered her by messing with her hat, or said something wrong; she suddenly shook off his hand and clutched her hat, looking as if she was about to cry.
Tang Jingming: "..." Okay, he believed it, she definitely was not quite normal!
Tang Jingming felt heartbroken, covering his wounded little heart as he sat down, "Brother-in-law, you... you've disappointed me."
He had heard from Yun Du early in the morning that there was trouble here.
