Yan City is quite the southern part of the south, the weather being both humid and cold.
Since the opening of Xinxia Country, it had not snowed.
This year, Shi Mei woke up from her sleep and unexpectedly discovered snowflakes drifting outside her window.
The snowflakes were small, just a handful scattered about.
Despite this, it was enough to excite her.
The last time she had seen snow was a few years ago in Imperial City when she had tumbled and had snowball fights in the snow with Shi Lingyan, Ye Tiao, and Tang Jingming, all of them freezing with their noses and ears bright red and painful, yet they all smiled like a bunch of fools.

"No, no!" Shi Mei jumped out of the courtyard, reaching out to catch the snowflakes descending from the sky.
They were small, turning to water as soon as they touched her palm, cold and icy.
Aunt Chen exclaimed, suddenly remembering she had made her a pair of gloves, "Put on the gloves!"
Shi Mei felt just the right warmth on her body, even catching the snow didn’t feel cold; if she really wore the scarf and gloves, she would definitely sweat.
Shi Mei hummed, turning around and running off.
Aunt Chen followed her, and Uncle Yang, unable to help but laugh, followed Aunt Chen, saying, "Let her play if she wants to, if she gets cold, she’ll come back to put on clothes."
