"Then we’ll search until we find it," Uncle Liu said tenderly as he wiped Yuejie Bai’s tears away. "As long as we can find a match, there are ways to transplant it into you. You will live well, Miss."

Yuejie Bai toned down her smile and said to Xiong Kaishuo, "Could you please ask Uncle Liu to come in?"
Seeing that she spoke in her usual manner, Xiong Kaishuo relaxed and nodded.
Xiong Kaishuo quickly left and, at Yuejie Bai’s reminder, also closed the door behind him.
Yuejie Bai smiled and beckoned to Shi Mei, calling, "Shi Mei, come over here to Sister Bai."

Yuejie Bai pointed to the edge of the bed, "Sit down."

Soon, Shi Mei obediently sat down.
Yuejie Bai took her hand, looking at her tender skin.

"Why?" Yuejie Bai’s voice was gentle, but the hand stroking Shi Mei’s arm had eyes growing deeper.
Just as she looked up, Shi Mei thought she saw something in her eyes... a longing?
