Was he full and idle? His and Yu Yaxian’s issue was long past, so what standing did Song Qiming have to question him?

Song Qiming snorted coldly, “Be smart and don’t show up before us again; you are not worthy of her.”
He then turned to Lin Chunju, guessing that she was Yue Jiannan’s parent.
“And you, madam, better control your son. With your background, it mustn’t have been easy, spending so much money on education, not for him to chase after women.”
His tone was condescending as if he were lecturing from on high, and several of Yaxian’s friends around them even added fuel to the fire eagerly.
“Exactly, Yaxian will marry into the city in the future, she certainly wouldn’t fancy such a poor lad. Don’t harbor any wild hopes.”
“Keep your son away, don’t let him hang around and annoy people.”
It happened to be time for morning reading, and many were hurriedly heading towards the academic building.
Seeing a crowd at the school gate, they instinctively came over to see what was happening.

Because Yu Yaxian was radiant and always smiling, she was well-known in the school, as were her and Song Qiming, seen by outsiders as a perfect couple.

Lin Chunju’s expression grew cold, causing Yu Yaxian to shiver involuntarily.
She gently tugged at senior Song’s sleeve, “Qiming, stop talking.”
But Song Qiming gave her a reassuring smile, “Don’t be afraid, Yaxian. I know his pestering has troubled you. Today, since we have the chance, let’s make things clear and make this guy back off, so he won’t harbor any wrong ideas in the future.”
Yue Jiannan could no longer hold back, as he was not one to shrink away.
“Song, I didn’t want to argue with you today, but since you insist on courting trouble, then let’s have a proper chat about the cause and consequence!”
Yu Yaxian’s face turned pale, suddenly feeling an urge to turn around and run.
