The old lady’s desire to seek death was not only because of taking the blame, but also because her heart had died.
She was bullied at home and yet, she had to pretend along with her son and daughter-in-law, to fool Wang Xiaoni just to avoid conflict among the siblings.
She had always believed that family harmony was the foundation of prosperity and that suffering a little herself was no big deal.
However, today, every single word from Li Banlian chilled the old lady’s heart.
She suddenly wondered how she had ever let her son marry such a woman, how she had ever raised such a grandson!
"Grandma!" Yue Xingxing and Yue Xiaohu exclaimed.
Yue Qingqing suddenly appeared behind the old lady and firmly caught her.
Nobody knew why she was so fast, not even Yue Xiaohu had seen clearly.
"Mom!" Wang Xiaoni rushed over and held onto the old lady tightly, never daring to let go again.
Yue Xingxing picked up a broom from the ground and started beating Li Banlian and Wang Biao relentlessly.
"Get out, get out of here!"
"Beasts, actually trying to drive Grandma to death."
Just as Wang Biao stood up, Yue Xiaohu kicked him down.

Li Banlian and Wang Biao were chased out, both disheveled and covered in dirt.
They hadn’t expected Wang Xiaoni to show no familial affection at all, nor had they expected the mother-in-law to be so tough.
They had thought, considering Wang Biao was the old lady’s grandson, she would come out and say a few words to persuade her daughter.
Who would have thought that the other side would rather die than agree.
"Mom, what do we do if they don’t agree?" Wang Biao was so angry he felt like his lungs would explode, and he still had bruises on his forehead.
Disgustingly, the respect they anticipated was absent; it was like banging his head against a brick wall for nothing.
Li Banlian stared bitterly at the courtyard.
"We’ll go to the police."
Wang Biao didn’t understand, "You want me to turn myself in? Are you crazy!"
Li Banlian scoffed, "Not turning yourself in, we are reporting them. Isn’t it Yue Xiaohu who went out last night?"
They were ready to play hardball.
"How reliable are your friends, won’t they slip up?"
Wang Biao nodded repeatedly, "We’ve all agreed, they’re all underage and will surely be out in a few days, then I’ll give each of them a hundred bucks."
Though it pained her, Li Banlian reluctantly accepted.
It all came down to that vile girl, Yue Qingqing; her own son had ended up in this mess all because of her.
If she had simply agreed earlier, none of this would’ve happened?
Outside, Li Banlian and Wang Biao reversed the accusation, pinning the entire affair on Yue Xiaohu’s head.
Inside, the Yue Family was in tears.
"Mom, what am I to do if you go? Why think about such people?" Wang Xiaoni cried like a child.
The old lady also sobbed uncontrollably, "Mom can’t just watch you struggle."
The children also cried alongside.
Yue Xingxing sniffled and said, "Grandma, why don’t you move in with mom and dad? I see they aren’t good people, they won’t treat you well."
Little did she know that her words struck right at Wang Xiaoni’s heart.
She immediately persuaded, "Mom, you should move in here. I spoke to Grandma yesterday, and she blamed me and Jianxi for not noticing earlier, for not treating you right."
The old lady slowly stopped her tears, "Really? Did your Grandma really say that?"
Had it been before, she would have endured for the sake of her grandchildren and daughter; she surely wouldn’t have considered moving in.
But today, her heart was utterly wounded, and with Wang Xiaoni mentioning that Grandma didn’t mind, the old lady finally felt that perhaps she could move in.
She would help her daughter tidy up the house, do the laundry, cook meals, it all sounded good.
Seeing a turning point, Wang Xiaoni decisively said,
"Just stay here, and I’ll clean out the second-floor bedroom right away."
The old lady didn’t say a word, which was taken as consent.
Wang Xiaoni was overjoyed.
She hadn’t expected that the problem that had troubled her and Jianxi for days would be resolved so easily.
