Lu Zhu put her English book aside and picked up a towel to wipe her feet clean.
"Your words are rather chilling, I’ll remember that."
Qu Ruorui also felt a bit surprised, and while Lu Zhu was emptying the footbath, she quietly asked, "Qingqing, why are you suddenly saying all these things?"
Yue Qingqing half-joked, "Because I’m gifted with divination, I know that Lu Zhu is likely to encounter trouble if she goes out."
If she had been evasive, Qu Ruorui would have found it odd.
Yet, the more straightforward Yue Qingqing acted, the more Qu Ruorui felt she was joking.

Lu Zhu quickly and proficiently organized the books and then found a rag to wipe down the edges of the bookshelves until they were perfectly clean.
Although this was not her actual job, Lu Zhu did it anyway.
The librarian, seeing this, grew even more satisfied with Lu Zhu and beckoned her over, bringing out several plump sweet potatoes.
"These are from a relative of mine, take a few to roast," the librarian suggested.
Lu Zhu started to refuse, but the librarian pressed them into her hands without taking no for an answer, "They are not worth much, just consider it extra payment."
Only then did Lu Zhu accept them, thinking to herself about whether or not to take them outside to Uncle Li who roasted sweet potatoes.
