Around seven in the evening, pairs of guests finally entered the amusement park.
Gong Qiming and Yue Qingqing were the earliest to arrive.
With a skewer of squid in their left hand and a bowl of Octopus Balls in their right, their life felt like a holiday.
They didn’t at all fit the image the production team had in mind, of workers emerging dirty and exhausted from their labors.
Yet, they were also the ones who provided the most interesting content.
Closely following them were Pei Zhe and Wu Manbai, who looked just as elegant as an old married couple.
This couldn’t help but make one reflect on the importance of carrying a skill with you when you’re out and about.
Rong Leyi and Gu Tiantian had been standing all day, and Gu Tiantian felt as if her legs had swollen up.
"From now on, I’ll think thrice before buying things; earning money is really not easy," Gu Tiantian lamented while massaging her calves.
"Right, are we still short of people?"
Wu Manbai smiled faintly, "Ou Chi and Zhang Yuan are still at the restaurant."
Considering they were celebrities, the manager didn’t want to trouble them much and had considered letting them go just like that.
But the production team wouldn’t allow such a move.
In the end, they reached an agreement with the restaurant to have the two of them put on waiter outfits and serve dishes.
This job was anything but easy, and when the two finally arrived, late, their hair was plastered to their heads in damp strands.
Zhang Caidie’s makeup was somewhat smeared.
As soon as they came in, everyone sensed that something was off.
Ou Chi looked at Gong Qiming as if he wanted to devour him.
Rong Leyi tried to smooth things over with a smile, "Chi, why did you come so late? We’ve been waiting for you."
Ou Chi glared at Gong Qiming, "Why did I come so late? Ask him why he set me up!"
Gong Qiming speared a piece of Octopus Balls, put it in his mouth, and said lazily, "That’s not fair, I mainly didn’t bring enough money. If you don’t believe me, just ask the production team. We couldn’t both stay behind to serve dishes."
Ou Chi was so angry he wanted to punch that face, while Zhang Caidie tried to console him with a pitiful look.
"Brother Chi, don’t be angry, I believe Miss Yue and the others didn’t do it on purpose, right?"
As she spoke, Zhang Caidie’s eyes reddened slightly, giving off the impression that she was wronged but still had to forgive.
Gu Tiantian clicked her tongue and tugged at her boyfriend’s sleeve, mouthing a phrase.
Rong Leyi shook his head and smiled.
The circle wasn’t very big, and everybody had a rough understanding of each other.
Zhang Yuan’s habitual flirting was no secret; at best, she could play the white lotus only in front of men.
Yue Qingqing gave her a slight smile, "We truly didn’t do it intentionally—it was completely intentional."
Zhang Caidie’s expression suddenly froze.
"Since we earned some money, we wanted to treat everyone to a meal; isn’t this the logic of ’I’m weak so I’m right’?" Yue Qingqing spoke with conviction. "As long as I lack morality, don’t even think about morally blackmailing me."
Gu Tiantian burst out laughing; she hadn’t expected this gentle-looking girl to directly confront Zhang Yuan.
Well argued and instantaneous, leaving Zhang Yuan squawking in protest.
Watching Zhang Caidie’s ashen face, Gu Tiantian thought it was absolutely thrilling!
Yue Qingqing always considered herself to be quite patient, but Zhang Caidie was the type of person with a naturally thick skin. If you didn’t call her out directly, she would continue to act the part of the demure, fragile flower.
Yue Qingqing couldn’t stand such posturing.
The production team waited until they had gathered enough material before showing up to arrange the next amusement park activities.
Tang Zhubiao glanced at Ou Chi and Zhang Caidie.
"Since you didn’t manage to gather enough funds to buy tickets, and the production team had to pay to get you out, you’ll have to accept a punishment."
Tang Zhubiao pointed at the drop tower not far away.
"The punishment is simple, take three consecutive rides on the drop tower, and all accounts will be settled."
