The surgery preparation was complete.
Besides Jeffrey Foster and a group of surgical experts, the key person for today was Sophia Patel.
Brandon Piers’ mother had a rare blood type, so Mr. Piers had a long-standing practice of maintaining rare blood types at Piers Hospital, offering generous treatment just to save lives in critical moments.
After Brandon was born, the number of such employees increased, and Sophia Patel was one of them.
Her mother was one of the most ordinary logistics staff at Piers Hospital. Because her blood type matched Mrs. Piers’, the treatment she received had always been generous. Three years ago, Mr. Locke was diagnosed with uremia, and Brandon had someone replace his kidney for free.
Following that, out of gratitude to Brandon, Mrs. Locke sent Sophia Patel, who had just graduated from college, to Piers Hospital to take over her job.
This time, after careful selection, Brandon chose Sophia Patel as the blood transfusion provider for the surgery, in case of any unexpected incidents.
At this moment, Brandon lay on the operating table, while on the other side was Sophia Patel.
“Dean Foster, give me a local anesthetic.” Brandon emphasized again when Jeffrey Foster was about to inject the anesthesia.
He did not like the feeling of being out of control. Even in this surgery, Brandon needed his mind to remain absolutely clear.
Jeffrey nodded, “Rest assured.”
Brandon responded with a grunt, watching the anesthetic being injected into his body. Shortly, his upper body lost feeling. The sharp scalpel was held in Jeffrey’s palm as he slowly cut open Brandon’s chest cavity.
Even though Brandon was mentally prepared, he was still taken aback by the scene.
Beside him, Sophia’s delicate face turned pale, and she could not help but turn her head away.
The surgery proceeded in an orderly manner. Apart from the sounds of the instruments, everyone else’s breaths were light, afraid of disturbing Dr. Foster.
All the contestants entered their respective operating rooms in batches.
After being rejected by the previous patient, Abigail Green was rejected by two more patients consecutively. If she still did not realize that someone was causing trouble, she would be foolish.
However, Abigail was not in a hurry. Judging from the conditions of the three patients, the surgeries assigned to her by the hospital could not be considered real surgeries. They only required debridement and suturing, which could be done in ten minutes if done quickly.
Instead, she was curious to find out who was sabotaging her.
Her participation in the medical contest was arranged by Brandon through Jeffrey. She had not offended anyone in the hospital. The most likely suspects were Ruby Green and Clark Stone.
Thinking of these two, Abigail felt she should visit Ruby Green’s ward.
The twenty-third was Ruby Green’s engagement day. As a sister, she naturally had to be concerned about her sister’s leg.
“You don’t need to stay with me. I will go communicate with the first patient and make her agree to accept my treatment.” Abigail could tell that the nurse accompanying her was already impatient, so she straightforwardly offered her an excuse.
“But…” Jennifer felt disgust towards Abigail, but it was the head nurse who personally instructed her to follow Abigail. It was said to be the dean’s order.
