The reporters, fearing the Piers’ power, didn’t dare approach Brandon Piers. They didn’t even dare question this man, who would send out lawyer letters at the slightest provocation. So, they all focused their attention on Abigail.
“Miss Abigail, you just got engaged to Master Brandon, and shortly after, news broke about his heart failure. Was it that his heart had problems before, or did it happen after the engagement?” a female reporter rushed forward, persistently shoving the microphone towards Abigail.
Abigail glanced at her, “My fiancé is healthy now. Thank you.”
“But there are online rumors that Master Brandon was critically ill. How do you explain that, Miss Green?” Another reporter, seeing that Abigail actually responded, quickly jumped in to ask.
Abigail looked amusingly at the handsome man beside her, wearing a similar light gray shirt and black pants, as if complaining playfully, “She says you were critically ill.”
“Are you blind?” Brandon Piers asked as soon as he heard this. His voice was clear and calm, sounding as though he was merely concerned about the reporter’s eyesight, without a trace of rudeness.
The reporters were stunned. They hadn’t expected the distinguished and elegant man, who looked dashing even in a wheelchair, to ask such a question.
The reporter in question didn’t feel offended at all. Instead, she blushed and answered shyly, “I’m not.”
“Oh.” Brandon Piers replied softly, then sighed lightly, “That’s good.”
“Thank you for your concern, Master Brandon,” the female reporter thanked bashfully, her face reddening at the sight of Brandon Piers’s incredibly handsome face and his gentle, clear voice.

Abigail, standing beside them, secretly muttered, “Monster.”
Such a commotion turned the previously aggressive scene into something a bit awkward. But with fewer love-struck fans and more professional journalists, it soon calmed down. A new reporter immediately jumped in, “Piers’ stock price dropped because of Master Brandon’s condition. Master Brandon, don’t you have something to say?”
“Master Brandon, aren’t you afraid the shareholders will be unhappy with you?” The previous male reporter asked, unwilling to give up.
“Who are you asking for?” Brandon Piers finally looked at him.
Confronted with those deep eyes, the reporter froze, “I…”
“Let him ask me personally,” Brandon Piers retracted his previous sharpness. His voice remained clear and unemotional.
The atmosphere at the scene grew even more awkward. They hadn’t expected Master Brandon to be so difficult, and were momentarily at a loss for questions.
Just then, a pretty female reporter with almond-shaped eyes suddenly rushed forward, “I’m Summer Lucy from Entertainment Weekly. Can Master Brandon talk about your love story with Miss Green? It’s so touching!”
