“You still haven’t answered me?” Brandon Piers was dissatisfied with Abigail’s reaction.
Abigail glanced at Brandon, finding it hard to explain. “Yes, it looks good.”
She was being incredibly perfunctory.
He was just feeling down when his phone suddenly rang. He glanced at Abigail with his long, narrow eyes, answered the call, and said, “Speak.”
His voice was cold and hard.
Kelvin Max shivered and spoke in a more cautious tone, “Mason Piers’ people have contacted the Greens. I suspect they may have found something. Would you like to contact Mr. Green first, Second Young Master?”
“Oh.” When he replaced Ruby with Abigail at the engagement ceremony, he had anticipated the possibility of things being exposed. It was not surprising that the second branch’s people were probing the Greens.
But up until now, Lincoln Green had not used those shares. He was very curious about what the other party was thinking.
“The third branch’s people should have already found out too. They haven’t taken any action yet but have sent someone to keep an eye on things. You know your third uncle’s methods. If it’s confirmed, it won’t be easy to get those shares back.” Kelvin couldn’t help but add another sentence when Brandon didn’t speak for a long time.
“Got it. I’ll make arrangements.” Brandon finally responded and turned his head to look at Abigail.
Abigail, being watched by the man, gave him a strange look. “Is there a problem with me?”
Brandon knew about Abigail’s relationship with Father Green and the conflict with the Taylor mother and daughter. Plus, he had driven Ruby out of the hospital this time, knowing that Father Green had visited Abigail again, ending in another unhappy parting.
If he suggested having the “little fatty” dine with Lincoln Green at this moment, she would probably be very resistant.
Thinking about this, Brandon furrowed his eyebrows slightly. His handsome face rarely showed a hint of hesitation. Abigail found it even stranger and touched her cheek. “Could it be that I’ve gotten fatter again?”

Brandon saw Abigail’s reaction and suddenly laughed. He fully knew the temperament of this little fatty. If he forced her to dine with Lincoln Green, the results might not be as desired and could backfire. So why make things difficult for her?
He might just need to spend a little more time and effort.

“Sorry.” Before he could finish, Abigail’s phone suddenly rang. She quickly apologized and waved to him.
Brandon shook his head helplessly, realizing that unknowingly, he began to care about the little fatty’s feelings.
However, he didn’t think much about it, attributing it to their engagement and the fact that this girl had saved his life.
He occasionally recalled their first time together, but he just considered it a natural physiological reaction and didn’t pay much attention.

Abigail looked at the number from Midsummer Trust and gently patted her forehead. How could she have completely forgotten about this matter?
