Reborn as Mr.CEO’s Fat Wife Chapter 90

Chapter 90: Do you ever think that Teddy somewhat resembles you?

A dejected Abigail Green heard the rhythmic and intense knocking after finishing her yoga session.

Brandon Piers hadn’t come by to dress his wounds for a long time. She almost forgot that he once visited the nursery late at night and the brief intimacy between them.

Putting away the yoga mat, Abigail opened the door to see the handsome man in casual loungewear.

“Second Young Master.”

“Mm, came to check on Teddy.” Brandon naturally pushed the door open and entered. He noticed the fine sheen of sweat on Abigail’s forehead and the strong, sweet scent from her body. “Exercising?”

Previously, he had mistakenly thought the scent on Abigail came from Teddy’s baby fragrance. Later, he learned that the scent was Abigail’s own, becoming more pronounced postpartum and intensifying when she sweated.

It was very alluring.

Especially since he had once tasted it.

Brandon felt the summer night was somewhat sultry.

“Mm.” Abigail didn’t notice Brandon’s eyes suddenly become deep. She casually answered and felt sticky all over, wanting to shower quickly.

As a surgeon, she was somewhat of a neat freak.

Brandon’s voice tightened, “Mm.” He saw the chubby little guy sleeping soundly on the bed and suddenly turned his head. “Don’t you think Teddy looks a bit like you?”

He didn’t understand why Abigail didn’t tell him the truth.

The little fatty had an extremely bad relationship with the Taylor mother-daughter duo. If she wanted to solve the mother-daughter issue, telling him the truth would stop Ruby from marrying into the Piers family. As Teddy’s biological mother, if she made some excessive demands, the Piers might relent.

But why, from the beginning to the end, did she prefer to be Teddy’s wet nurse, secretly feeding the child without revealing the truth?

Was it only because of Aunt Claudia?

Brandon didn’t think so.

Abigail was stunned by Brandon’s question but quickly calmed down. “Really? I didn’t notice, all babies look similar.”

“Is that so?” Brandon replied meaningfully.

Abigail didn’t know how much the Second Young Master knew or if he was deliberately testing her. She responded softly, “Yeah.”

Brandon glanced at her, then changed the topic. “In three days is Sincere Hospital’s medical competition. How’s your preparation?”

“Not bad.” The Sincere Hospital’s Medical Competition was held every three years, open to an outside audience, and gathered many medical talents. There were also several instances of overnight fame.

If it was the old Abigail, she wouldn’t have bothered to participate at all, nor needed to prove herself this way. But now, she was Abigail Green. Proving her medical skills to Brandon in the fastest way was by winning first place in the competition.

She needed Brandon’s trust to operate on him.

Initially, she sought to help him—the surgery was her leverage for Brandon. Now, more significantly, she hoped her baby could have a healthy and long-lived father.

Of course, if the surgery succeeded, she would ask Brandon to refuse to marry Ruby.

Last time, when she treated his wound, although Brandon owed her a favor, it was too insubstantial. Abigail couldn’t ensure Brandon would agree.

But performing heart surgery for him would be a completely different matter.

As her body recovered postpartum and with recent Tai Chi practices, Abigail felt the return of strength in her body. Performing a cardiac surgery wouldn’t be a problem.

Besides, after her rebirth, she discovered her vision and acuity had strangely enhanced. She also wanted to use Brandon’s surgery to verify some of her theories.

Hearing Abigail’s words, Brandon narrowed his amber eyes and scrutinized her, seemingly wanting to detect a trace of nervousness. Unfortunately, he found none.

The fatty was very confident, so confident that Brandon doubted if he should really let her handle the surgery.

However, thinking of Dean Foster’s arrangement for the surgery date, Brandon shook his head in amusement. It was unlikely the fatty would have a chance to operate on him that day.
