Excitedly, Sylus turned around to look at Sophia, who was seated on the bed.
"Sophia, I need you to do something for me."
Sophia looked at him. "What do you need, my lord?"
"The five families, please find out which of them have untouched lands. A little more land with no access, or something like that," Sylus said, raising a finger.
"If that is what you need, then I can look for it myself."
Leaning against the chair, Sylus replied, "They have more knowledge about it. Not everything is as it seems. I’m looking for something specific, and if it’s there, they will tell me."
Sophia sighed. "As you wish. I shall inform them."
Soon after she said that, her body dispersed into dust, and she was gone.
’Now then, I guess it’s my turn.’
He stood up from the chair and wandered toward the wardrobe where his clothes and items were kept.
Once there, he opened it and pulled out a book—the book of programs he had written many years ago.
Leaving aside the programming language he created, Sylus had also jotted down a couple of ideas that he believed would help him later in the future.
For example, he was well aware of how the kingdom of Lumberg made their massive income. It was usually from hosting tournaments and other forms of entertainment. People would travel far and wide to attend.
But the issue with that was that it was limited to one show at a time.
Since Lumberg wasn’t the only kingdom with tournaments, many people were forced to pick just one, travel cost and time being the biggest drawback.
As such, Sylus thought of doing something he had often seen in his former world: the cinema.
While he had never entered one before, he knew people would often go to watch multiple shows depending on the time they were aired.
The same applied to sports shows. The only difference was that it was done from the comfort of their homes.
This was one of Sylus’s genius ideas for the kingdom.
Truthfully, he intended on doing every single one of them—but not until he fixed the damages done to the city first.
Carefully, Sylus made his way back to the table and gently opened the book to the page he needed.
’There we go. I should be able to use this for the inventions.’
He grabbed a pen and began writing a few codes on an empty piece of paper.
The little rendezvous he did in the city made him realize a couple of things, one of which was the lack of water in the kingdom.
So far, only Ashport, which was where the castle and the main town of Linye were located, and Veldenworth had decent water supply. And even then, it was just like every other part of the kingdom.
There was no proper water system.
While it was true that water transportation offered a good job opportunity for people, constantly moving water from streams to tanks—it was still very inefficient.
Not to mention the other locations were suffering, having only two wells to sustain them, since they were unable to pay for water transportation.
All in all, Sylus needed to focus on this aspect first.
Right now, he was gathering all the necessary programs to make equipment that would help in inventing machines for construction.
Sylus didn’t intend to waste a single second.
With every code he wrote, he made sure to use his [Lord of the Land] aspect, which would summon a program that gave him a 3D representation of how the code would run, identifying all bugs and errors.
By the time he was done with that, he got ready for the next part.
Sylus was seated on the office chair, writing on a piece of paper, when Sophia suddenly arrived like a gust of wind.
She stood in front of his table and then placed a document on it.
"I did as you asked. They all had untouched land, but each had different reasons," she reported.
Sylus kept on writing.
Sophia was a bit surprised. She didn’t expect Sylus to ask her to read it out loud.
Normally, he would have grabbed the paper and read it himself. The only exception was with Zani, mostly because he trusted her words fully.
So if he was doing the same with her...
"You trust me as much as Zani now?!" Sophia uttered excitedly, slamming her hand on the table with a huge smile on her face.
Sylus slightly raised his head to look at her. "Why are you excited about that?"
She smiled even more. "Heheh, Master doesn’t understand. Don’t worry, I will do my job well."
’What the hell is she talking about?’
Clearing her throat, Sophia picked up the paper to start reading.
"This one is from Lord Yiol. He says there are dungeons toward the far east, although no one has explored there due to the lack of willing adventurers."
Sylus wrote on the paper while she spoke.
"This other one is from Lord Velden. Apparently, there is a forbidden cave in the Forest of Jin. No one has been able to enter because of the seal placed there." Sophia kept quiet for a while. "The rest are pretty much the same as Lord Yiol’s. Only the Baron of Bridgeridge claims to have no information yet."
After a while of writing and arranging papers, Sylus finally looked up at Sophia.
"Hmm, yeah. At least that’s what it says here. Maybe it’s a place for monsters to rest. I don’t really know much about this world."
Sylus sighed. Hearing someone who once looked identical to the queen say that was somehow unsettling.
It’s a miracle no one had questioned it. Perhaps it’s because most people already forgot what the first queen looked like.
"Well, I can’t get anything out of half-assed information." Sylus stood up. "Let’s go check it out. And in the meantime, I need you to spread these flyers around the city."
